Cordelia's P.O.V.
"Awe... Aemond."
I mutter in a cherishing manner while stepping off the stairs and heading into the kitchen. Aemond's laying on the living room couch with his pillow and a couch blanket while watching a crime show. Everyone is in their bed and I'm only downstairs at this moment to refill my glass before going to bed myself.
He's taking up the entire couch and I can tell he isn't wearing a shirt by how the blanket covers him. The crime show he's watching is on a very low volume setting, letting me know he just put it on for background noise while he falls asleep. Filling up my glass of water, I smirk at the middle child with a charmed expression before wandering into the living room.
It's the third day of Helaena staying with us and not once have I heard Aemond complain about sleeping on the couch. I haven't seen him sleeping on the couch since he goes to bed after I do and wakes up before me. However, because I forgot to refill my glass of water earlier, I get the chance to see how he's holding up with the livingroom as his temporary sleeping spot.
Coming up to the couch with the Targaryen brother that makes it look like a loveseat, I smile at him in pity while he peers away from the TV screen and up at me. There is no way he can be comfortable sleeping on the couch, and I can't imagine him sleeping on it for the next four days. Setting down my glass on the coffee table, I carefully try to get on the couch beside his side without actually sitting on him.
"Such a good brother."
I tease in a quiet voice with my head leaning to one side, making him sigh and roll his eyes like I'm embarrassing him. Shuffling slightly on the couch to give me more room to sit next to him while he's laying across the cushions, Aemond purses his lips and puts an arm underneath his head to give me his full attention. Grinning at his wary reaction, I push a few strands of his hair away from his face and lean over him.
"Why don't you take my bed?" I then suggest in our silence, while smiling down at him with sympathy. Brushing a few hairs off his cheek with my thumb, I say in a soft, sincere tone. "I can fit better on the couch... I'll take the couch the rest of the week. I don't mind."
Aemond cracks an appreciating smile before his gaze drifts off of me like he was expecting me to offer my bed to him while Helaena is staying in his. I raise a single playful eyebrow and wait patiently for him to agree with my offer to him, but it never comes. Instead, he sighs tiredly while snaking the arm that isn't underneath his head around my waist.
"No, it's alright." Aemond yawns while peering back up at me with a smirk full of content. He rubs small circles into my hipbone while holding me intently and assuring me in a low tone. "You sleep in your bed, baby. I'll be fine here."
"Are you sure?" I whisper, unconvinced by his answer, while melting more over him as I mess with the ends of his hair. Scrunching my nose, I point out in a hushed tone, pretending it's a secret between us. "You look a little cramped."
"Well... That is because I'm making room for you."
Aemond teases while glancing at my ass, taking up part of a cushion he's laying on. Rolling my eyes and sensing he's ready to just pass out for the night, I let go of his hair while sitting up straighter. Moving to stand up and leave him be on his makeshift bed, I mumble while going to grab my water off the coffee table.
"Alright. I can take a hint. I'll leave-"
"I meant nothing by it, Cordelia." He abruptly speaks up in a sassy tone and I feel his arm around me tighten just before I can get out of it. Yanking me before my hand reaches my glass, Aemond grunts in a tender tone while forcing me back onto the couch with him. "Come here. Stay awhile."
