Aegon's P.O.V.

"Shoot! Cordelia! Shoot!"

I shout into my mic while staring at my tv screen and seeing Cordelia's avatar staring at the glowing flower. I'm teaching her how to play Fortnite, but she keeps getting distracted by other things in the game. Two teams just jumped out to kill me while Cordelia's still staring at the big glowing flower.

"Fuck, Cordelia... Come help me!" I snap in panic as I attack two people before hiding behind a tree. "Turn around!"

"What does this flower do? Is it supposed to be glowing?"

Cordelia blurts in a smooth tone as if I didn't just yell at her through our headsets. Rolling my eyes, I clench my jaw and peer over to the squads from behind the tree and continue shooting them down. We've been playing for over an hour and just in that short time, I've quickly realized why her ex-boyfriend never tried to teach her how to play a shooting game.

She mentioned early how she's not a big gamer, but would like to play with me if I taught her how. Apparently, her last boyfriend enjoyed playing video games, but he never tried teaching her so she could play with him. However, after trying to teach her myself, I know exactly why he didn't want them to play video games together.

Cordelia gets distracted and lost every five seconds.

I've never seen someone play a video game as badly as Cordelia, but I won't dare tell her that to her face. She was so excited earlier from me offering to teach her how to play Fortnite and now I don't have the heart to crush her wish of playing online games by saying she's shit at it. I'll just have to go through this hell with the sheer hope she'll one day get better.

"Sweetie, sweetheart..." I grunt out while trying my best not to show the attitude in my voice. Trying to kill one guy from behind a tree, I command my teammate as politely as I'm able. "Forget the flower. Can you please turn around and help me kill these guys?"

"Where are you?" She questions innocently and I let out a long loud groan at the question I've heard a hundred times in the last hour. Feeling my frustration growing at the situation I put myself in, I answer her slowly, with a thin tone. "Behind you, Cordelia. Behind you."

"Oh."

I hear her mumble into the mic just as I get wounded bad enough that I will need her to revive me. Growling at the sight of my avatar on his knees, I know this round is over because Cordelia takes forever to revive me, doesn't know how to pick me up from the ground, and always forgets to pick up my life card once I'm officially dead. However, she's going to need to learn to get better, so I do my best to explain what she needs to do next.

"Okay, Cordelia. I need you to pick me up and run away." I speak up through the mic while staring at the screen. "Hover over me and it will tell you-"

"What about the guys over on that field?"

"Leave them be. Just pick me up-"

"Shouldn't I kill them-"

"No! No! Just pick me up and run away!" I snap without realizing my tone is getting short with her. "Cordelia, just fucking pick me up from the ground and-"

"Okay! Okay! You don't have to be rude-"

"Just fucking do it! Damn it!"

I shout in aggravation and suddenly hear commotion come from the living room, making me realizing my mistake. Cordelia's playing on the Xbox in the living room and I'm playing on the one in my room, but soon neither one of us will be playing in any room. Peering away from my TV screen in panic, I look over at my open bedroom door just as I hear stomping on the stairs.
