Aegon's P.O.V.
"We'll be back sometime tomorrow."
Aemond speaks up from the kitchen, and I know exactly why he's telling me, but it does nothing to help my mood. His one statement isn't for my benefit, it's for him and Cordelia; it's code for don't bother texting or calling until tomorrow evening. Sprawled out on the couch, I nurse my mix drink and grunt at Aemond in acknowledgement.
I'm waiting for the Erryk and Arryk to come over tonight, so the three of us can get shit face in an empty house. Daeron's on a date tonight, and apparently it is the same girl from his last date, which tells me my kid brother is catching those gross love feelings. While I'm getting hammered, and Daeron's trying to fall in love, Aemond and Cordelia are going to the other side of the city for the concert of the year.
He's taking her to the Rhoynar Symphony... How the hell did he even get tickets?
That Symphony is not just some monthly concert you get tickets from a website, and it's not an event you can get tickets for the day before, but somehow Aemond made it happen. Somehow, someway, Aemond got two tickets for the Rhoynar Symphony yesterday and he refuses to tell me how he made it possible. I can only think of three ways he got those tickets: either he promised our mother something in exchange for them, sold something he definitely shouldn't have, or he actual has some powerful people as friends who gave the tickets to him.
All I know is... Cordelia hasn't shut up about going to the Symphony since she found out Aemond is taking her.
"Baby, you almost ready?" Aemond calls out then, while grabbing a water bottle for himself out of the fridge and glancing to the stairs. "We need to head out soon."
"I'm almost ready! Just fixing my dress!" We hear Cordelia shout from upstairs before hearing the dogs groan like they want her to stay home with them. Shutting the fridge and taking a step towards the stairs, Aemond then offers innocently. "You want some help-"
"No! No! I got it! We'll end up not going if you try to help me!"
Cordelia yells in almost a panic tone, and when I rethink her words, I have to hold back from gagging in realization. When I notice Aemond smirking proudly at her argument, I shoot him a glare to not aggravate me more about this situation than I already am. Rolling his eye at my expression, Aemond turns to face away from me and I let out a sulking huff.
When did this become a whore house?
I haven't had a conversation with anyone about Aemond and Cordelia's sex life since the pizza disaster, but I do know it's the same as bunnies fucking. If I see the two of them randomly disappear, I instantly assume they're going to have sex and call up one of my lady friends for a distraction. I don't even want to know all the places they've had sex in the house, in my house, because I know I'll want us to move out that very second I find out.
"Okay, I'm ready! I'm coming- Ah!"
Aemond and I curse at the exact same time when we hear Cordelia stumble downstairs for the millionth time. As I stand up from the couch and turn around to check on her, Aemond steps out of the kitchen with his usual protective expression. We watch Cordelia jump up from where she fell on the last step, then see her smile at us with a bright blush and an embarrassed crooked smile.
"I'm alright, promise." Cordelia blurts out when seeing the look on our faces and confesses awkwardly. "I wasn't holding the railing... And these heels are a little slippery."
"Come here, baby. Let me check for-"
"No, please. Don't check for bruises. I'm fine, honest." Cordelia groans out dramatically when Aemond takes one of her hands to guide her into the kitchen. Aemond hums like he doesn't believe her and claims insistently. "Just let me check. I'll be real quick-"
