I will be leaving my hometown for at least the next 2 years. Today, Amanda's family arranged a farewell party for me. I love them a lot!
Since Amanda's birthday is coming up but I probably won't be there to celebrate it with her, I decided to write her a letter and gift her today itself.
Here's my letter.
Hi Amanda,
This is your little sister. First of all, Happy Birthday you pretty woman!💜
Ever since you got know that I'll be leaving for another state for 2 years, you've constantly told me that you'll miss me. I may not have been as vocal but know that I'll miss you too. We have seen each other grow ever since we were babies and both of us have come a long way. We've created a lot of memories together and will continue to create more, don't worry. However, I have certain tasks for you. The next time we meet, I would love for you to have accepted that you a lot of people around you who adore you and that irrespective of past experiences, you'll find more such people along the way. Secondly, comparison with others is not required You've done quite well so far, at a pace that is comfortable for you. Lastly, I promise that we'll do everything on our list for we have still have at lot of time together! :P
The celebration was nice! Mom and I left our house around 4:30PM and even though their place is quite far from ours, we reached pretty quickly as compared to the last few times we've been there.
Amanda has left her job so thankfully I could spend more time with her. I gave her the letter and gift, was coerced into reading it in front of the others, and after talking for a bit, spent a good amount of time getting our makeup done.
My cousin brother/Amanda's brother Kenneth is a chef and today's menu was specifically made for me. We started it off by cheering with a karvanda rum drink. We then had my all time favourite sweet corn soup, then moved on to Satay Gai and had Cari ga and pineapple fried rice for the mains. And if that wasn't enough, we also had 2 sweet dishes for desserts. Good lord, that was A LOT of food! But thank youuuuu!
