Sanemi leaned against the door frame; arms crossed as he looked in. Really, he should be waking Genya up to take his medicine and eat but he couldn't. Not when he looked at that face. It was a relief that even after all these years, Genya's sleeping habits haven't changed a bit. Cheek squished into Sanemi's pillow despite the drool smeared across the plush skin, Genya curled himself into the tightest ball he could even with his tall frame. He held Shuuya's penguin tight to his chest, finger tapping every so often and foot twitching.

Even the breathy snores stayed the same, barely audible from where Sanemi stood as he snapped a few pictures of the image he never imagined he'd get to see again. Sighing regretfully, he put his phone in his pocket to wake the sleeping boy up. Unsurprisingly, it only took the man opening up the curtains to let the sun in for Genya to shoot up like a rocket, eyes wide and confused for a second.

"Take your meds." Sanemi said, reaching over slowly to pat down the wild tufts of hair on his brother's head. He bit his lip to keep any smile from emerging when Genya leaned into the touch with a sleepy sigh. "If you're up for it, we should head down to the school so you can take your entrance exam. But if you don't wanna, we can wait."

"I can go." Genya yawned as he rubbed his eyes, trying to shake away the sleepiness. He hasn't slept that good in a long time, his body longing for just a few more hours. But things needed to get done and he really wanted to go back to school. "It's the weekend anyway, so the school shouldn't be that busy."

"Okay, we'll stop for breakfast on the way so get ready. Your medicine's on the counter." Sanemi patted the boy's cheek gently before walking off to get dressed, texting his boss as a second thought. Genya stood dumbly in his room, deflating a little as he watched his brother go.

Eventually, with a huff the boy walked silently out to the kitchen to fetch his medicine, mind blank as he swallowed down the pills and water. His body ached sharply as he leaned against the counter, head pressing against the cool counter.

He groaned as he finally decided to get dressed, the medicine ebbing the pain a little as he padded back to his room. He could hear Sanemi in the bathroom as he opened his closet. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't looked in here. He was too focused on the manga to even think about checking what the rest of the room looked like. He doesn't even remember grabbing a lot of his clothes from the old house. He grabbed a few shirts and pants that hadn't been ruined yet and saved the rest of the space in his bags for his siblings' things.

Genya was surprised to see the closet already mostly full of clothes. His small eyebrows pinched as he brushed his scarred hand through the black and gray shirts. The clothes looked like a bunch of different people had picked them out, several different styles invading the closet. He could even make out pastel pink clothes buried in the pile of whites.

"Ah." Sanemi scared Genya as he leaned in the doorway, toothbrush being held between his teeth. "Some of my friends got you some clothes since Kanae gave us your sizes. Figured you might need more clothes."

"Oh." Genya looked back into the closet, chest tight as he looked at the contents. With a gentle hand he grabbed a black shirt and gray pants before closing the door, not wanting to cry before the day even started. "Thanks. I was running a little low on clothes."

His brother just hummed as he wandered off once more to let Genya have his privacy to change. It didn't take long for him to finish so he ventured out to the living room cautiously. He knew that Sanemi said he was allowed to be in any room in the house but he couldn't help but stay weary. There had to be a tipping point, a line that couldn't be crossed, and Genya didn't want to find it.
