Faking Sick

Sirius didn't feel sick, but at the same time he didn't feel like he could actually get out of bed that morning, so what did he do? He pretended to be sick. Now, Sirius wasn't one to fake sick, and it took a while before he actually admitted he was sick, so he hoped that Remus would believe him

"James, I swear, throw that top one more time" Remus threatened James, "But I can't find my tie" James whined, "Oh, and throwing the same top 20 times is going to help you find it?" Remus replied, James gave him a defeated look and continued to look for his tie

"James I found it" Peter called out, throwing James' tie at him, "Thank you Peter, you're a good friend" James said, glaring at Remus, who scoffed and looked over at Sirius' bed, "Has anyone seen Sirius this morning?" he asked, turning to the other two, who shook their heads

Remus sighed and went over to his boyfriend, "Hey Sirius we gotta get up other wise we'll be late for class" he gently shook Sirius' shoulder, who whined, "Don't feel good, my stomach hurts, and my head" Remus looked at him concerned and sat down on the side of Sirius' bed, "That's not good, do you want me to get some stuff from Pomphrey?" Remus asked

"Who's going to see Poppy?" James chimed in, "Sirius might, he's not feeling good" Remus told James, who came over and looked at Sirius, "He doesn't look sick" James said, "James, how long does it normally take for Sirius to admit to us when he doesn't feel well?" Remus asked James, playing with Sirius' hair

James sighed and nodded, "Fair point, right, Remus you coming to breakfast, or you staying here till class?" he then asked, "I don't know" Remus sighed, "It's ok, you can go, I'll be fine" Sirius told him, giving him a small smile, "You sure?" Remus asked, sounding worried and making Sirius feel guilty. Sirius nodded, "Yeah, I'll be ok"

Remus sighed, "Ok, I'll be back at lunch" he then stood up and gave Sirius a quick kiss on the forehead before he grabbed his wand and robe and followed the other two out the dorm.

   

"Remus, eat" James said, spooning some eggs onto Remus' plate, "Do you want any bacon or anything?" he then asked, Remus nodded and took a few fork-fulls of the eggs whilst James put a couple of strips of bacon on his plate, "What's on your mind buttercup?" he asked Remus, who looked at him confused

"Just, did anyone see anything odd with Sirius last night?" Remus asked, James and Peter shook their heads, "Why?" Peter questioned, taking a drink of his pumpkin juice, "Because, he didn't say anything to me last night, he's not clingy, he doesn't have a fever, he doesn't even look sick" Remus explained, the other two looked at him confused

"What if he's faking?" Peter suggested, "He wouldn't, would he?" James asked, Remus sighed, "Don't know, I mean he might, we've all done it" Remus shrugged, "You've pulled a sickie?" Peter asked, sounding surprised, James nodded in agreement, "Why does that surprise you? I pretended to have a migraine over the summer cause I didn't want to see my grandparents, which greatly backfired as they came round and I woke up with a migraine" Remus explained

"Remus Lupin pulled a sickie, that is real magic right there" James laughed, Remus just smiled and shook his head, "Yes I did, ok. You two have both done it" Remus defended himself. "True, I make fake sick when I was 8" James nodded, the other boys looked at him, "What? I didn't want to go to school" he mumbled the last part

"Pete?" James asked, "I've never pulled a sickie" he shrugged, "Oh come on, tell us" Remus and James both whined, "Fine. It was two months ago, maybe late October time, we had an exam and I pretended I had a fever and chills" Peter told them
