~ CAITLIN'S POV ~
"I was wondering if you would pop in again." I speak as Danielle walks into the room, amusement dripping from my voice.
"Well, I had to come see if you still looked as horrible as yesterday. And that's a yes, so I'll be leaving now that I've got my answer." She turns back to the door and walks out jokingly, soon return returning with a smile on her face.
"You bitch!" I exclaim, laughing and glaring at her.
"Just lightening the mood." She shrugs her shoulders.
"Oh, well, great job there. That you did not."
I hear my mum chuckle from next to me. "We'll leave you two to talk, you've probably had enough of people crowding the room." She kisses my forehead and gets up from the chair, taking Luke with her. My dad had to go into work, but he'll be back later on.
"So, how is my Caitie Bear holding up?" Danielle plops down next to me on the chair.
"Well, I can't feel my face, my head is aching, my leg is extremely uncomfortable, my ribs are sore, my chest feels weak, I'm sick of laying in this bed, and all day I've been attacked with questions. So overall I'm pretty over it." I tell her, earning a laugh. Everything has been so overwhelming. Not remembering the past five years of my life, being told I was kidnapped by a supposed friend, learning I have a boyfriend, answering so many questions and finding out I had an aneurysm and I have a heart disease. All in the space of a bit over a day. It all seems so surreal. You'd think they'd take it slow with me, but I guess not.
"Well, that sounds extremely fun." She exaggerates on the 'extremely'. "Who came?"
"My grandparents, my Aunty and Uncle and my cousins. There're so grown up now I can't believe it."
"Do they know everything that happened?" She asks carefully.
"Yea I have a feeling my mum told them prior to coming in so I wouldn't know. But they trod so carefully with everything they said, and they didn't mention anything about it, just asked me how I was doing and stuff like that."
"Oh ok."
"What have you been up to?" I ask curiously.
"Studying, studying, and well, studying." She puts her hand to her head in the form of a gun.
"Ooh, sounds worse than my current situation."
"I say it'd be pretty close." We both laugh, as my head rings with pain and a sharp feeling shoots through my ribs.
"Don't make me laugh." I wince, pouting my lips.
"Sorry." She tries to hide her smirk, and fails miserably, making me laugh once more.
"You cause me too much pain. Why are we friends again?" She flips me the bird jokingly.
"I'm sorry, do you want me to leave." Her tone is bitchy.
"That would be good, I've had enough of people today."
"Well too bad, because you're stuck with me." She smiles widely. I sigh and lean back against the bed.
"Great." I huff.
"I know you love me." She smiles cheekily.
"Hmm I don't know about that." I joke, trying to hide my smirk.
"Hey can I ask you a question?"
"You just did." I state the obvious, earning a glare from her.
"Do you remember being at Tyler's at all? Like anything?"
"No, it has only been a day." As soon as I see the look on her face I realise that my tone was kind of harsh. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that. It's just..."
