Pools of love (Gwenpool x male reader)

Here's Gwenny!

Captain America opens the door to Gwenpool's apartment.

Spider-Man: I thought Y/n said she locked them out.

She-Hulk: They left without locking the door...

Spider-Man: Captain... I think we've been had.

Back at the tower, Y/n and Gwenpool stare in horror at the monster in front of them. Gwenpool feels slightly more comfortable from behind the bulletproof screen.

Monster: We... are Venom.

Y/n: I am... running away!

Y/n rolls through the legs of the beast -picks up the penguin bag- and sprints in the opposite direction. Venom growls and chases him.

Gwenpool: Yeah, you can just leave me here... that's cool. I'll umm... I'll just hang out I guess. How you doing, reader?

Y/n runs in any direction available, since she doesn't know the layout of the building: it's really up to chance whether or not he gets out alive. He bumps into a wall or two as he searches the penguin bag.

Gwenpool: ...And then there was that time I used a gerbil as a makeshift bowling ball...

Elsewhere, the trio of Avengers rush to get back to the tower.

Spider-Man: I can't believe Y/n lied to us, he seemed so nice!

Captain America: We should have known he couldn't be trusted, anyone who can stand Gwenpool must be just as crazy as her.

Y/n swings a katana from the bag at Venom but misses completely. Venom then picks him up with one hand and throws him through a wall.

Venom: Hungry...

Gwenpool used her own head to try and break the glass cage she is in.

Gwenpool: I'll save you, Y/n!

She becomes dizzy and falls over. She-Hulk uses her retinal ID to enter the tower and is quickly followed by Parker and Rogers. They hear the commotion upstairs.

Captain America: Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Spider-Man: Wait a minute... I sense something. We need to get up there quick!

A tendril wraps around Y/n's ankle and lifts him into the air upside-down. It happens to be his left where the shock monitor resides. Y/n slips a little and the monitor sets off due to resistance. Luckily, although Y/n once again gets badly shocked- Venom is also electrocuted. Y/n recovers first and runs as fast as he can back to Gwenpool's cage.

Gwenpool: You guys hear about the new Garfield movie?

Y/n: GWEEEEEEEN!

Gwenpool: Y/n?

Y/n rounds the corner with her trademark pink bazooka in hand. Emerging from the vents: Venom drops down in front of Y/n- cracking the floor on impact. Y/n fires the weapon but venom creates a large hole in his own chest that the explosive goes straight through. This does however mean that it reaches Gwenpool's cell, destroying the glass. Gwenpool is blown into the wall. Venom's large fist wraps around Y/n's neck and begins to squeeze.

Gwenpool: Here's Gwenny!

Gwenpool leaps high into the air and wraps her arms around Venom's neck. Now that he himself is being choked: he lets go of Y/n in favour of self preservation. Exhausted, Y/n falls to the ground.

She-Hulk: You are in so much trouble.

The voice of the heroine shakes Y/n to his very core.

She-Hulk: Luckily for you: we're preoccupied.

Cap's shield flies into Venom's face, giving Gwenpool a further upper hand. Spider-Man webs Venom's feet to the floor.

Spider-Man: Gobby's partner I presume?

She-Hulk runs up and delivers a mighty punch to Venom's chest. The sheer force of the attack knocks Gwenpool off of his back and bounces her off of the ceiling. Venom falls to his knees.

Spider-Man: We need fire and/or sound.

Gwenpool: I can do fire, I love fire.

Venom shoots out tendrils and wraps up all five.

Venom: A buffet? For me?

She-Hulk rips herself out of her restraints and shoulder barges the alien. The brief window of opportunity allows Gwenpool and Spider-Man to escape whilst Y/n and Captain America are still in capture. Gwen uses a lighter and a can of deodorant to make a homemade flamethrower which she uses to free Y/n. She catches him bridal style.

Y/n: Whoa.

Gwenpool: Saved your life, you have to like me now!

She flashes him a big toothy grin. Meanwhile, the brightly coloured Spider-Man webs Venom's head downwards and She-Hulk slams her elbow into Venom's neck; producing an ear piercing screech.

Captain America: Little help?

Gwenpool hands Y/n the makeshift flamethrower and goes to help She-Hulk and Spider-Man. Y/n very carefully singes the tendril that holds the ancient soldier- Cap lands gracefully on his feet and prepares his shield.

Captain America: Seriously, get out of here Y/n.

Rogers joins the other in the offence on Venom. Gwenpool briefly runs back to Y/n.

Gwenpool: Hi, Y/n! Can I have the penguin bag?

Y/n passes her the bag and she grins at him before abandoning him completely. She grabs two pink pistols and fires them at Venom. Captain America and She-Hulk attack Venom from different angles whilst Spider-Man attempts to web him up. Y/n tentatively creeps up to them and sprays more fire at Venom.

Gwenpool: Yes!

The symbiote detaches itself from its host and escapes through the vent.

Gwenpool: That's pretty sussy...

Spider-Man webs her mouth shut. She-Hulk grabs the host with one hand and lifts him up. He is sweaty and terrified.

She-Hulk: Who are you?

Spider-Man: That's Eddie Brock.

Peter webs him up and slings him over his shoulder.

Spider-Man: I'll take him to the proper author-

The black alien goo bursts out of the ventilation system and lands on Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Uh oh...

Gwenpool: EMERGENCY MEETING, EMERGENCY MEETING!

Y/n: How did you get the web off?

Parker drops Brock and struggles to tear the alien off of his body, unfortunately he is unsuccessful and his brightly coloured costume goes a cold shade of black.

Captain America: Spider-Man?

Gwenpool: We should go before he starts dancing to jazz.

Y/n: That's oddly specific.

Gwenpool: I saw it in a movie.

Spider-Man Attempts to flee.

Captain America: We have to catch him!

He and Gwenpool chase Spider-Man head on whilst She-Hulk grabs Y/n's arm and takes him in a different direction.

Y/n/ where are we going?

She-Hulk: To activate the defence systems!
