Y/n stares fish-eyed at the man in the arena below, Thor Odinson was widely believed to be dead after he and his brothers appearance hears ago. A story Y/n had heard straight from the horse's mouth during his visit to Asgard.

Thor: It's God of Thunder, you pious fool. You've had more than enough time to get the name right!

The Grandmaster: Ooh, somebody's cranky! Let's see if we can't redirect that in a constructive manner, huh?

With this, the battle begins. Thor has been stripped down to the bare essentials. No Mjolnir, that weapon lies with Jane Foster. He wears simple battle armour and has access to a metal club and shield- two blades also rest in sheaths upon his waist. The God takes his eyes off of the commentator's box and finally lays eyes on his opponent, stopping in his tracks as he does so.

Thor: Banner?

Hulk: No Banner, only Hulk!

Hulk swings a fist which the God jumps over. Thor runs up Hulk's arm and jumps off of his shoulder, landing behind him.

Thor: We know each other!

Hulk turns and claps his hands together. The resulting seismic wave sends Thor flying straight into the stone wall of the ring. He stands and dusts himself off, glaring at Hulk. He sprints towards Hulk and leaps -lightning trailing from his feet- he strikes Hulk's face with his club which knocks the beast to the ground. Thor lands in a forward roll and jeers the crowd.

Thor: Is this what you wish to see?!

A growl alerts Thor to the immediate threat behind him. He turns and swings his club yet agains- though Hulk grabs it and snaps the weapon in two. Thor looks Hulk up and down before he is grabbed by the throat by one of Hulk's large green hands. Hulk raises him into the air and slams his back right back into the ground.

The Grandmaster: This is getting good...

Y/n: Those two are heroes, this is barbaric.

The Grandmaster: It is absolutely barbaric!

Y/n: You ought to treat them with more respect.

The Grandmaster: Respect is an outdated concept, Sugar Cheeks. Everyone's equal on Sakaar.

Y/n: Then how come you're not down there fighting? How come you have a legion of slaves tending to your every want?

Thor roars with passion as lighting erupts from his chest, blowing Hulk away from his person. Both get up and charge towards each other, Thor drawing his shortswords. Hulk slams a fist upon the ground which Thor rolls away from, he slices the monster's leg with one of his blades as he goes past.

Hulk: GRAHH!

Green blood seeps from Hulk's calf, Thor provides little time for relief as he stabs both blades into Hulk's back.

Thor: Banner, you're embarrassing me!

Hulk turns and backhands Thor into another part of the ring wall where his body sticks to the stone. Hulk growls with unparalleled angers as he charges towards the God of Thudner, swords still lodged in his back.

The Grandmaster: Here we go...

Thor's eyes glow blue with lightning as he frees himself from the wall and staggers towards Hulk. Both wind up punches and a mighty shockwave emerges as their fists meet. As they try to overpower each other: Thor uses his other hand to draw the shield from his back and strikes Hulk's knee with it. Hulk falls to his knees as a lightning-powered uppercut sends him across the arena.

Thor: I am undefeated!

Hulk (with great fatigue) attempts to get up, though lightning blasts from Thor's hands quickly deter this notion. Thor's electric offence was not elegant, instead: extremely raw. As if the lighting was escaping his body as opposed to being a projectile.

The Grandmaster: And we have our winner!

The crowd cheers as Y/n stares disdainfully at the scene below. Cut later to Y/n back in the east wing with Carter and Bishop.

Kate Bishop: We knew he wouldn't be able to beat Thor.

Peggy Carter: No one ever does.

Y/n: How long until you want me to kill this guy? I can't stand him.

Peggy Carter: You can't just take his life when you feel like it. You need to wait until we have an exit strategy.

Kate Bishop: Once the Grandmaster dies, his crew'll have no idea what to do.

Y/n: Except killing us.

Peggy Carter: Exactly. We need a way out first.

Y/n: How do we manage that?

Kate Bishop: Our chitauri friend has it covered. He should be here within the hour.

Y/n: Oh, so this is happening now?

Kate Bishop: Yeah. Sorry, we probably should've given you a little more time to prepare.

Y/n: I'll be ready. Though I do have a question. Why am I the one killing the Grandmaster.

Peggy studies Y/n for a moment before walking forward to him, bending down slightly as she was taller than him.

Peggy Carter: You are not a weak person. Though... you appear to be. That's why it has to be you. To inspire the people here who truly are.

Kate Bishop: The slaves, they're weak now. But inspiration is one hell of a drug.

Korg: Yeah, speaking of inspiration...

The trio turn to see Korg, Hulk and Thor all together. Hulk had assumedly forgiven Thor for his earlier assault, either that or he was planning his revenge.

Korg: Is there any more room in your revolution?

Peggy Carter: Uniting the fighters and the slaves could be a big step.

Thor: We wish to return to our homes.

Y/n: You're an Avenger. Why the hell haven't you already iced the Grandmaster?

Thor: He has something I value, if I act against him he will destroy it. We must retrieve it before we escape.

Hulk: What friend have?

Thor looks to Hulk. Later, the group is guided by their inside man to the area where Thor's possession was kept.

Chitauri: Don't take too long. This thing's going down in half an hour.

Kate Bishop: This is going too quick, Y/n and Hulk barely got here. Now we're expecting them to help us break everyone out.

Y/n: We can handle it.

Hulk: Hulk smash puny blue man!

Peggy Carter: Good to know someone's confident.

The Chitauri allows them in the room, stopping Y/n before he can enter. He hands the human a handgun and a key.

Y/n: What's the key for?

Chitauri: To unlock what's in that room. The gun's for the Grandmaster.

Y/n: What did he do to you?

Chitauri: The Chitauri are born to serve Thanos. He ripped me from my kin when I was a child and raised me as a slave. After I showed promise he promoted me to a member of his crew. In a sense, he gave me a better life. Though he still took me from my blood.

Y/n: Thanos...

Chitauri: The Mad Titan. A-

Y/n: -I know who he is. I've run into his "children" once or twice. Most of them are dead now.

The chitauri steps back, as if afraid.

Chitauri: Know this, human. If you are connected to the death of his kin: you will see Thanos on the battlefield.

Y/n: I'll be ready for him.

Y/n leaves through the door before the chitauri can respond. He joins his allies who stare at Thor's possession with great mistrust.

Y/n: Thor, you didn't say it was gonna be a person.

???: How hypocritical.

The man in the cell stands, walking towards the bars and grinning at Thor as he grips the iron.

Loki: I'm supposed to be the liar.
