Pools of love (Gwenpool x male reader)

Osborn engaged

Wanda and Roberto run at top speed towards the crashed X-Jet, using his resistance to fire: Sunspot swings the door open and climbs inside the overturned jet to search for the Professor. The entire craft is on fire but it has no effect upon him.

Charles Xavier: Roberto... help...

He spots Xavier in the cockpit, the Professor is not on fire, though bleeding from his temple. Sunspot charges up a fireball and sends it towards the windshield. It shatters, allowing Wanda to pull Charles out. She lays him down on the ground and eases his pain with her powers.

Wanda Maximoff: Stay with us, Professor!

He coughs and splutters as Sunspot exits the jet and joins them. Below the ground on which they stood: Y/n and Bobby navigate their way through the dark tunnel-like hallways of Osborn's facility.

Iceman: Something's not right, I don't like this.

Y/n: Nothing about this is right, just stay alert...

They both notice a dim light far in the distance and decide to investigate, Y/n assembles Cable's gun and sets it to level four. Back up above: Wanda has made the Professor sleep and has joined Roberto in investigating the large hole that their other allies fell through.

Sunspot: Should we go?

Wanda Maximoff: You go help, I'll look after Xavier.

Sunspot leaps down and runs to catch the others. Speaking of which: Y/n and Bobby hide round a corner as they watch Osborn prepare to inject the young Martin Li.

Iceman: I'm guessing that's our guy?

Y/n says nothing, memories of his multiple tangles with the villain replay in his mind- particularly when Goblin tried to throw Y/n to his death by having him land on sharp rocks. Iceman takes notice of Y/n ramping the gun's setting to the maximum level of nine. Before he can interject: Sunspot joins them.

Y/n: That's him.

Sunspot and Y/n gear up to attack, Bobby ready to stop them from taking it too far. Martin Li has been strapped down to a dental chair and cries for help through a gag. Norman runs some final calculations before drawing a solution into a hypodermic needle. This spurs the three to step in. Bobby and Roberto charge their respective abilities whereas Y/n aims his gun at Osborn.

Y/n: Drop it!

Osborn only stares at them, his fist tightens around the needle.

Y/n: DROP IT!

Up top, Charles wakes from his sleep and looks to Wanda.

Charles Xavier: Wanda, the others have engaged Osborn. You should join them.

Wanda Maximoff: And leave you alone? No way, you can't even walk. What's going on down there?

Charles uses his powers to observe what is occurring beneath, Y/n is still aiming his weapon at Osborn with the other two mutants ready to strike.

Iceman: Y/n, think about this.

Y/n: I've been thinking about it for a long time, Bobby.

The world seems to move in slow motion, Y/n pulls the trigger but Bobby covers the barrel of the gun in ice at the same time. The result is the level nine shot exploding as it exits the gun, sending both of them flying down the tunnel. Sunspot prepares to fire some... fire. But Osborn holds the needle to Li's neck in a threatening manner.

Norman Osborn: Don't move a muscle, mutant!

Sunspot raises his hands- only to inject Li anyway.

Y/n: NO!
