Two security guards wearing white riot gear patrol a floor of a building, a skyscraper to be precise. They march side-by-side down the centre of the hallway as the approach the elevator.

Guard 1: You wanna grab some Indian food after this?

Guard 2: Yeah, I could go for some-

The ding of the elevator signals an arrival as their heads snap towards it.

Guard 2: Safeties off.

Guard 1: Copy.

The doors slide open and a jet of flames rush through the opening, the first guard is lucky enough to dive away in time whereas the second is turned to ash. The first goes to raise his gun but is not quicker enough as Y/n uses Cable's gun on setting 5 to rip a hole through the guard's neck. Sunspot and Y/n step out of the elevator and stare across the vast floor.

Y/n: Professor, what's the target?

Professor X: The map of Oscorp facilities is at the other end of the floor.

Charles is on the X-Jet, communicating with the two via telekinesis. Back with the others: five more guards converge upon them.

Sunspot: Allow me.

Before Roberto gets a chance: the floor crumbles from underneath the assailants. He and Y/n walk over to the hole to find that Wanda's powers were what caused it to collapse, Bobby had also frozen the guards in mid-air to prevent any injury.

Y/n: Nice. How are you going to get up here?

Wanda takes Bobby's arm and floats them both to Y/n's level smirking at the human as she does so.

Y/n: Fair enough.

Iceman: Professor, how many guards between us and and that list of buildings?

In the jet, Charles focuses so that he may tap into any minds present in the area.

Charles Xavier: None, it's just the four of you.

The group hears heavy, clunking footsteps in the distance.

Sunspot: Are you sure about that?

Charles Xavier: Positive, Roberto. The only life signs I'm seeing on that floor are the four of you.

Two metallic fists tear through an adjacent wall- sending the four flying.

Charles Xavier: What's going on down there?

The four look up to see a robot towering over them. It has a blank expression coupled with cold red eyes.

Robot: Sentinel unit 001, engaging hostiles.

Y/n: Sentinel?

Sunspot shoots his hottest flames possible at the Sentinel, though it only stands still. He relinquishes, confused at the lack of melting. The sentinel fires a burst of pink energy from its palm (resembling one of Iron Man's repulsor blasts) sending Roberto across the area. Wanda uses her powers to send the Sentinel through multiple walls and out of the building.

Scarlet Witch: That ought to do it.

Whilst in free fall: the Sentinel's shoulders raise above its joints to reveal rocket boosters with its feet operating the same tools.

Iceman: Oh you gotta be shittin' me.

Wanda uses her energy to protect the three of them as the Sentinel attempts to barrel into them. None sustain any injuries but are thrown right back with Sunspot.

Scarlet Witch: This thing's starting to piss me off.

The Sentinel's red eyes fall upon the group as lasers shoot out. Bobby builds a thick wall of ice, the lasers burn through like butter- meaning Bobby would have to keep this up to prevent the rest of them getting killed.
