Pools of love (Gwenpool x male reader)

Y/n, Gwen and Doreen share glances as Doctor Strange and Thanos have something of a standoff. Stephen's hands assume the spellcasting position as Thanos clenches his fists- charging psionic punches in both palms.

Squirrel Girl: What's he doin'?

Gwenpool: Stalling to boost the word count.

Taking initiative: Thanos moves to shoot the psionic energy at Strange- though the sorcerer has already acted; creating a portal for Thanos to fall through. Stephen closes said portal and turns to face his allies.

Y/n: Where did he go?

Doctor Strange: I've sent him towards some more tenacious heroes. With all due respect: you three don't scream Titan killers.

Y/n: Honesty, I'm just surprised there's respect due.

Alienated from the conversation: Thanos falls out of the exit portal and lands face-first on another part of the battlefield.

Ant-Man: He looks like a raisin.

Thanos looks up to see the next team of heroes opposed to him: Gamora, Nebula, Wasp, Ant-Man and She-Hulk.

Thanos: My daughters... your betrayal burns me.

Nebula: That's a good start.

They engage the villain. Gamora swings the Godslayer, only for her father to catch it in his hand. Jennifer (the other green-skinned heroine) lands a punch in his chest that sends him back- he drags his feet across the soil to prevent himself from falling.

Thanos: You Terrans fight with passion, I am honoured to be your opponent.

Wasp: We really don't care for villain speeches, dude.

Wasp flies towards Thanos and shoots shock blasts from her wrist guns. The blasts do nothing to Thanos, simply impacting his armour and dissipating. Hope shrinks in order to avoid Thanos' laser vision, as she darts around the beams: her male counterpart lands a strike on Thanos' hide- hurting his fist in the process.

Ant-Man: I'm sorry...

Thanos moves to retaliate, only for Lang to shrink and avoid the attack. Nebula is next to attack but is quickly outmatched by her father, though Wasp takes the opening to kick Thanos in the face; doing equally as little damage to him as Scott did.

Gamora: He's too resilient for standard strikes!

She-Hulk and Thanos trade brutal hits, some drops of purple blood even deep from Thanos' nose. He attempts to use his laser eyes on her but Nebula interjects with her electric batons- matching the energy.

Thanos: STEP ASIDE, DAUGHTER!

Nebula: You are not my father!

Gamora's sword pierces through Thanos' chest from behind. It doesn't pierce any vital organs, though it still stings with pain. Gamora withdraws the blade, allowing the Titan to fall to his knees with an exit wound.

Thanos: Why... daughter...

He looks up to view Nebula as Gamora joins her. Jennifer, Hope and Scott stand aside- not wishing to embed themselves in the personal moment.

Gamora: You are evil.

Thanos: No...

With great difficulty: Thanos attempts to stand- though a smack from Nebula's baton knocks him on his back as he stares up at them.

Thanos: Is this where my love gets me?

Nebula: Love? What do you know of love?

Thanos: Everything I do is for love.
