So yeah I skipped from the pilot to episode 8 I know. I just felt like this was a good start. Since it's Rumple's past in that episode.

The sheriff died two weeks ago after making my sister a deputy with the police department. Running a hand over my forehead I felt a headache coming on from lack of sleep. I just keep seeing the flashes of the dream I had the night we met Henry. Now I can't sleep because of Gold calling me what dream Rumplestiltskin did. It doesn't add up. There's no way they are the same person because that would be crazy. I could ask Henry but my sister doesn't exactly believe everything he says is true. I just like to think that I still have the belief of a child again since it makes life so much easier. The door to diner jingles its little bell as I lay my head down on the table groaning. "Rough morning start, lass?" Lifting my head up a little I made a sound seeing Mr. Gold standing in front of me. He rests his left hand on his cane with the other at his side. "Yeah, I'm getting a splitting headache that's killing me." I grumbled when he asked pointing to the other side of the booth. "May I sit?" I give him a thumbs up afraid to move my mind which would make it worse.

"Here you go, dear." Granny walks up sliding me over a cup of hot coco in a white cup. I give her a smile seeing her eye Gold with an unreadable expression on her face. Raising the cup to my lip I take a slow slip holding it in my hands. Gold stares at me finally breaking the silence that had fallen. I could feel some eyes on us and I have to assume it was because I was sitting with him. "When was the last time you've slept good?" He gestures to the bags under my eyes. "Not very well. Emma moved in with Mary Margaret. I decided to stay at the inn since she only had one room." He reaches across the table resting his hand over mine. With my other hand I removed it from the cup holding my chin in the palm of my hand. "Come with me, lass. I have a solution dear." Getting to my feet we exited the diner walking to his shop. He kept walking past the glass counters moving a curtain back revealing a small room with a bed. "It may be small but it is much better than the creaky bed at Granny's inn." He gestures to the bed then back to me. "You get some rest and I'll check on you in a few hours." The second my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.

Opening my eyes this time I run my hand over my shoulder feeling a cloak on my shoulders. It’s a light red one with a hood and this time I am wearing a tunic shirt and trousers unlike last time. My hair is in a braid going over my right shoulder. Walking around I could assume I was in a castle by the long staircases and torches on the wall. “What do you think of this place, dearie. I hope we can have something like it the new land.” Spinning in my boots I saw Rumplestilskin walk down the stairs in his leather and snake skins. “The new land. What do you mean?” I asked confused at his words. He giggled stepping closer to me tucking a loose strand behind my ear for me. "The land without magic. Where we shall meet, Astrid." Shaking my head I felt my face turn red hoping that this is all just a dream and I am not going insane. "You're talking like you can see the future. I must be having a nightmare from lack of sleep." Rumple slowly wrapped his arms around my waist where our noses brush against one another causing me to blush deeper than before. "This isn't a nightmare, love. Trust in your instincts and you'll see I know what I'm talking about." After that I closed my eyes seeing darkness.

The bell rings loudly when someone entered Gold's shop where I got up from the bed peaking through the curtain seeing my sister bickering with Mr. Gold near the front glass case. She had been trying to run in the election for sheriff and he offered to help. "If I did it. It was because you needed something big. Something like uh, being a hero in a fire." Gold waved his right hand in the air but she still didn't lose the glare on her face. "Regina's not the only one with ears around here or I'm just intuitive." She finally spoke her gaze flickered to see me peaking outside. "I could have left her there." He replied resting his hands on the countertop. "Not the type." Emma tossed a rag onto the countertop. "I can't go along with this." She spun on her heels exiting the pawnshop slamming the door. "You just did." He fought back before she had left. Pulling the curtain fully opened he finally turned around giving me a smile. "How'd you sleep Astrid dear?" Crossing my arms over my chest I scowled leaning against the wall not moving closer to him.

"I slept fine but that's not really what you're asking is it, Gold. You wanna know why I'm still here. Why I don't just assume you're bad and walk out the door right now." He pouts towards the wooden floor meaning I was right. Emma can tell when someone is lying and I can see when someone is trying to hide who they really are. I just can't figure it out with him because he's been nice since the day I met him. "I'll tell you why because I think I'm losing it a little right now. Because I'm feeling drawn to you but I'm not gonna listen to my instincts like the voice in my head says. I'm just gonna go." Walking around the counter I left his shop walking alone down main street at night. The wind blows through my hair until I reached the building Mary Margaret lives in. Knocking on her door she answered immediately seeing my concern. "Astrid, what's wrong?" She pushed me inside making me some hot coco. Henry says she's our mother the famous Snow White and I have to admit she looked like her. "Mary, have you ever got this weird feeling about someone...say Mr. Gold for instance?" She sat her own drink down sadly answering. "I don't know him all too well. Maybe you should talk to Dr. Hoper." Nodding my head a crazy idea popped in my head where I dug around for the radios he had given my sister the other day. "Henry, come in. I need to talk to you first thing tomorrow morning. Meet me at Granny's before school." I spoke into the radio praying that he could help my troubling mind.
