Y/n's POV:
The next morning I woke up to see James walking out of the bathroom. Instinctively, I pulled the sheets up to cover my (still bare) chest before speaking, "Last night- that was a one-time thing. right?"
"Yeah. Don't worry, I still hate you."
Sighing in relief, I was about to go to have a shower when I realized the only thing covering my breasts was the bed sheet. "Could you-"
"Oh, yeah sure," he responded, laughing a little and turning to face the wall as I walked into the bathroom. We had always had a patchy relationship, but it had never felt this awkward before.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I saw my chest and neck covered in little purple bruises. "JAMES!" I yelled and heard him laugh as he replied.
"Looking good, Doll!"
Sitting on the deck, I was wearing a hoodie and my hair down to cover the hickies left by my horny roommate.
"You never wear it like that," Barnes commented, sitting down next to me and looking into the distance. I tied my hair back cause I'm petty and watched the birds diving into the water on the horizon.
"I liked it," he muttered as I shrugged in reply.
I felt weird. I didn't know how else to explain it, I was trying to figure out what was going on in my head. I enjoyed last night but it confused me about our relationship. I knew we had agreed that nothing would change, but I kept having flashbacks of his warm, toned body hovering over me, and the feeling of his lips over my body.
Shielding my mouth from James' view, I smiled.
Later that evening, Barnes was out at the gym while I messaged Nat and Wanda.
