Y/n's POV:

My heavy eyelids opened slowly, my head resting on something firm. I quickly reached my arms out to yawn and stretch when my elbow hit something hard and I felt the weight that had been wrapped around the left side of my waist and lying on my stomach quickly pull away.

"Ouch!" I heard a deep voice from the thing underneath me.

"What?" I mumbled, still very much half asleep.

"You elbowed me in the nose Y/n!"

I turned around, fully opening my eyes, and I saw James clutching his nose in pain.

"Oh my God, are you okay? Let me see." I said, the words rushing out of my mouth in panic.

He started to move his hands away but stopped when a drop of blood fell onto the bedsheets.

"Shit." We muttered in unison as Barnes started to rush to the bathroom.

Five minutes of awkward silence later, James was sitting on the lid of the toilet, holding a large bundle of tissues to his nose while I sat on the edge of the bath.

"Sorry again." I smiled apologetically. A week ago I would have willingly elbowed him in the nose, but after last night I did feel a bit bad.

He shook his head as if to say "It's nothing" with his eyes on the floor.

"Could you-" I began, "Could you not tell the others about any of this? None of them know."

James looked at me, quizzically before reaching to grab some more tissue and saying, "You didn't tell Steve? I thought he helped you with this kind of thing."

I nodded, "He does, but I haven't been able to tell anyone what happened yet. I don't even know if they know I have-" I corrected myself, swallowing the lump forming in my throat. I wasn't going to cry again. "That I had a brother." I admitted.

Barnes stayed quiet and nodded again.

"Actually, you can just forget about all of it, last night I mean." I blurted out.

"What about last night? Nothing happened." He smiled at me, removing the tissues from his nose. Luckily the bleeding had stopped and the atmosphere in the cramped bathroom had lightened considerably.

"I'm sorry about your shirt." I chuckled, gesturing to the piece of fabric on the floor that was now covered in both blood and mascara. "I can sort it if you want, I'm pretty good at getting out bloodstains."

"Do I want to know why?" He asked in fake concern.

"Well, a lifetime of being a woman as well as an assassin has given me plenty of practice," I answered, laughing. "I also know a couple of good spots to hide a body for when you inevitably make me mad again, so watch your back." I smirked.

"Do I need to remind you that you just attacked me?" He joked, pointing to his red nose.

"And I'm very proud of it." I grinned

"Shut up and come get breakfast." Barnes smirked, walking into the kitchen.

We had been taking turns to make meals and every time he had cooked breakfast, he had made omelets. They were pretty good too, he always got the right amount of cheese in mine, but I would never tell him that.

"Your omelets are shit." I said, taking a large bite.

"Shut up and eat." He responded, "How long have you actually known everyone?"

I swallowed my mouthful before replying. "I finished my SHEILD training in September 2012, but I met Steve in these "recap" courses they were running before then. HERCULES didn't exactly keep us up to date on current affairs, I had to learn almost as much as Steve, he might have been frozen but I had just never learned it."

"Yeah, I know all about that." James nodded.

"Steve Invited me around the tower a couple of times, so I met Tony, Nat, and the others. I think they were part of the reason I moved up the ranks so quickly." I continued, "But then things went to shit a little, I quit working for SHIELD and got a job at Walmart-"

"Walmart? Really? You quit working a high-up job with a government agency to work at Walmart?"

"Fuck off." I said, glaring at the smirk on his face. "I was only there for about a week though because Steve and Tony turned up at the store to buy some Pop-tarts for Thor and managed to convince me to join the Avengers. Dickheads."

"I don't think you could go a single day without cursing." Barnes commented, before taking another bite of his food.

"I so could." I replied indignantly.

"You couldn't even last the rest of the day." He taunted, taking his dish back into the kitchen to wash it up.

"How much?" I asked, following him through the door with my own plate.

"How much what?" He asked as I leaned against the counter.

"How much do you bet?" I took his place at the sink to wash my own plate once he had finished.

"Tony pays for all our crap." He pointed out.

"True, true..." I muttered.

"You couldn't do it anyway." He laughed.

"Yes, I could!" I exclaimed, flicking some water at him.

"Fine, one orgasm." He grinned.

"What?" I snapped my head in his direction.

"I bet you one orgasm that you can't go the rest of the day without swearing."

"Oh, you are on." I smirked back as we walked back over to our look-out-point in the bedroom.

Fifteen minutes later, I announced that I was bored and needed some popcorn before I sat at that window for another four hours.

"Do you want any?" I asked, standing up.

"Sure. Don't mind which flavor though, you can choose." He responded.

But as I walked into the kitchen I stubbed my toe on the doorframe.

"SHIT!" I screamed, oh fuck.

Any chance he didn't hear it?

Nope. The sounds of James's laughter echoed through the apartment.

And that is how I ended up giving Barnes his third blowjob of the mission.
