We've Finally Done It

Today was the day... and to think I never thought I could get this far.

There were a lot of things I had been able to do that I'd never thought possible, in all honesty, but, despite the tragedy of my life and my own stubborn nature to succum to it, I had a relationship that I'd dedicate my whole life to, a village to run, students to guide, and... friends. I rolled over, pulling Sakura into my arms and releasing a small huff of surprise from her. While clinging to me was only natural for her, I wasn't much of a cuddler. I must've surprised her.

And that also meant that she was awake, snuggling her face under my chin with a near silent laugh; I tilted my face down into her hair to whisper, "How long have you been awake?"

"Maybe an hour?" She murmured back, "I was too excited to fall back asleep, but I'm wide awake now."

"You sure about that?" I smirked, brushing her hair from the side of her face, "You're slurring your words a bit."

"Maybe I'm just drunk off of you." I could feel her grinning, and I tried not to groan at the awful joke. It wasn't often she used those dreadful pick up lines, but when she did she made sure they counted.

I pushed her further into my chest, "So early in the morning too..."

She attempted to lift her head back under my hands, "Is my sense of humor too advanced for you?"

"Immensely." I sighed, relaxing my arms from around her and my head into my pillow.

She relaxed similarly, "I really did marry an old man, didn't I?"

"Shush." I petted her hair, closing my eyes, "Don't bully me on my wedding day."

Pouting, she no doubt was about to make some comment about me stealing her 'bullying' excuse when an arm was abruptly thrown over us, Sakura's eyes going wide as the hand hooked on my arm and pressed her even more to me, "Let's not get too comfortable."

Sakura turned a little to look back as I made eye contact with Hinata. Just... how did she-? How did I not notice!? As odd as it was to comment on, Hinata had a very distinct pleasant smell to her that I should've... oh, who was I kidding it was Hinata, she would've found some way.

And her smile was so pleased too, "You don't want to be late for your own wedding do you?"

"Oh course not!" Sakura turned out of my arms and into hers enthusiastically; I was already missing the loss of my peaceful, intimate morning.

I was considering whether to comment on her uninvited entrance into our bed when I felt a pair of small hands on my back accompanied by a slight weight, and I glanced over my shoulder to be met with two wide, curious eyes and quiet, hummed greeting. The baby was here too? Did that mean- "Man, it would be embarrassing to be late to your own wedding."

The life half scared out of me, I flipped onto my back to see Kiba laying next to me, leaned coolly against the headboard, wholly nonchalant. Alonso fell into a seated position, Kiba steadying him with a smirk.

Rolling over and propping his face in his hand, I felt like shrinking back into Sakura, but there wasn't enough room, "What? We had to make sure you'd make it."

I was a fool to even entertain the idea that today might be calm.

"Okay, and turn your head a little bit."

I let Hinata take my chin in her hand to tilt my head, because at this point we'd long accepted I had no idea how to follow directions in terms of making myself easy to put makeup on. Trying not to squirm at the sensation of someone else using a brush on my face, I also had to accept that being easy to work with would make this go much faster.
