It was good to be in platform boots again. That was my main takeaway from embracing my more gothy side for the first time in a while since I at last had a break from work, meaning that I not only had the time to relax, but the time to dress up.

Platform boots, thigh high socks, and a black overall dress with a long sleeved striped shirt underneath it: quite the cute outfit if I do say so myself. I just wish Kiba wasn't on a mission so that he'd actually get to see it, but it seemed like everyone was starting to get as busy as I was nowadays.

No matter, I was the master of finding things to do with myself, and that at the moment was my newfound hobby of roof walking. Doing so in platforms was always a little more exciting, and the double takes from the random pedestrians who noticed me were always entertaining.

"Hinata."

That's weird... they never usually talked to me. I glanced down from the apex of the store I was currently standing on, realizing with mild horror that Tsume Inuzuka was glaring up at me. Well, this was a little embarrassing.

"Um... hello." I gave her a little wave.

"Get down." she commanded, tone as even and firm as ever.

The rebellious part of me wanted to deny her request, but then I remembered that I actually had to try and make her like me. I jumped down, landing right in front of her, "Do you... need something?"

"Is that what you kids are doing for fun, or is it just you?" she ignored my question, glare still present as ever.

I shifted, "Just me. I prefer it to walking in the streets, I usually don't run into anyone up there."

"Hm." was the only response I got to that, and she finally broke eye contact, looking off to the side, "I take it you're not busy then."

"No, I'm not." I acknowledged, beginning to get suspicious of this encounter. She wasn't one to just stop to chat.

"Good." she turned, beginning to walk off, "Follow."

I stayed in place, stunned, "Pardon?"

She glanced over her shoulder, "We're going to the territory. Are you not used to being ordered around?"

Slowly beginning to follow after her, I elected not to respond to that, even though she was kinda right. She had quite the interesting way of communicating, didn't she. Walking along in silence, I tried to mentally figure out what she was intending to do with me. Since it was her and we were going to the clan, this obviously had something to do with the clan, and probably Kiba. But I couldn't help but be worried that something more insidious was happening, although Tsume didn't seem any angrier than she normally did.

She pushed open the door, revealing Hana was sitting at the dining table and who Tsume promptly joined. I stood there awkwardly, not sure what to do, "So, is th-"

"Sit down." Tsume ordered.

I quickly moved to sit down across from them, folding my hands in my lap and holding my question until I was sure she wasn't going to just launch into a speech, "So, what is this about?"

"As the prospective wife of the future clan head, I believe there are certain things you need to know, clan customs and such, so that you can understand what your role in the clan will be." She explained matter of factly.

I blinked, "Huh?" Was it really that simple? Nothing was wrong?

Tsume frowned, "You are planning on marrying my son, correct?"

"Of course!" I quickly answered, not wanting any misunderstandings of that sort, "I- I suppose I just wasn't expecting this."

"Since you are no longer considered the Hyuga heiress," Tsume began, "for all intents and purposes you will be becoming an Inuzuka when you marry Kiba."
