Chapter 26: A Mysterious Savior

We had been leaping from branch to branch and still hadn't found another team to try and attack yet. The three of us then stopped and landed on the ground to take a break.

"I think we should take a break to rest and find something to eat," Akira said.

"I agree. Why don't you both get some water? While I search for food," I said, looking over at my two teammates.

"Alright, just make sure to be careful of enemies," Kaito told me with narrow eyes.

"Hey, don't worry, I will be fine," I smiled."Besides, if anything happens, I will send you guys a signal," I said.

"Well then, we'll see you as soon as getting back with food," Akira said.

I nodded as I took off to find something for my team to eat.

I was walking through the forest when I suddenly felt someone's eyes on me. I quickly turned around, seeing nobody behind me.

"What going on? It's like that feeling that women who were looking at me during the first, but I don't sense anyone," I whispered, turning back around as I continued for some food.

I started to walk over towards a bush with som berries when I suddenly heard a noise from behind me, turning around when I saw a giant tiger behind me.

'So that what I been feeling watching me.' I thought, jumping back as the tiger growled and stared at me, getting ready to pounce.

"Oh no, you don't, you tiger!" I shouted, throwing a kunai at the tiger as I started walking closer to me.

I then made hand signs as bound the Tiger in place with my Eart Style Justu. Tiger growled loudly as it tried to break free from my binding.

'I have to find a way to get this tiger out of my way.' I thought, narrowing my eyes in concentration as I thought of a plan.

My eyes widened as I suddenly sawa giant snake wrap itself around the Tiger, squeezing the Tiger until it collapsed onto the ground.

"Where did that snake come from?" I questioned.

"That fellow happens to be a friend of mine," A familiar voice said from behind me.

"Who is there!" I commanded, throwing a kunai behind me as I saw a familiar woman catch it with her tongue in the tree.

"Don't worry, young girl; I'm not here to cause you no harm," She said, landing on to the ground next to the snake that hissed a greeting.

"Then what are you doing?" I asked with narrow eyes.

"Oh, nothing, just figured you could use a helping hand," She replied, tossing me my kunai with her tongue.

"Who are you either way, and why did you decide to help me!" I questioned, catching my kunai and clasping it in my hand, keeping up my guard.

"Oh, don't worry, we'll meet again," She said suddenly, standing next to me.

"Back away!" I shouted, making a crystal blade appear on my arm.

The woman's eyes suddenly widden as she smile creepily at me."Mine intriguing we meet again, young snake, and when we do, I tell you my name," She said, running a hand against my face.

"What does that mean?" I questioned.

"Oh, you see, young one," She said before she suddenly vanished from my sight.

'What was that all about?' I thought, looking around for the mysterious woman but not seeing her anywhere.

"What was that all about," I muttered, touching my face as I looked at the unconscious Tiger before I went to continue my food search.

I then spotted a bush with some berries and studied their color, checking to see if there were poisonous.

'They don't seem to be poison, so we should be okay to eat them.' I thought as I picked the berries.

After I finished collecting berries, I met back up with teammates who were resting against a tree with three small canteens of water next to Akira.

"Hey, you two, I found some berries we could eat," I said, showing them the berries I had gathered from the bushes.

"Amazing, they look yummy!" Kaito cheered as I placed some berries down on his lap.

"Agree through what took you?" Akira questioned."You took a while to come back."

"My bad had an encounter with a large animal trying to eat me, but as you can see, I'm still alive,e, so everything turned out fine," I replied as I gave some berries to Akira.

"You sure that all you seem a bit off?" Kaito asked.

"Yeah, that's all nothing else happened," I said, smiling." The exam is just getting to me, I guess, with the large tiger attack," I commented as I sat down on the ground.

The three of us rested against the tree as we started to eat the berries I had gathered for the three of us to eat. Kaito then handed me one of the canteens of water.

"Thank you," I said, grabbing the canteen from him and putting it next to me.

After a good ten minutes of resting and eating, we started to make our next action plan. Akira had decided to summon one of her foxes to help locate teams. She ended up summoning a medium white fox.

"Natsumi, can you help us by sniffing out nearby teams?" Akira asked.

"Of course, Akira; however, what about your snake teammate? Aren't you both sensory types?" Natsumi asked.

"Yeah, but I'm not picking up anyone charka, and Kei seems off currently," Akira said, looking back at me.

"Um, sorry, something feels weird," I said as I suddenly felt a strange sensation coming from somewhere.

"She right. I'm picking up a strong scent," Natsumi said, sniffing the ground.

I narrowed my eyes as I felt the sensation heading toward where Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto charka were located.

'Naruto, he in trouble!' I thought worriedly as I suddenly rushed off in the direction of we. I sensed Naruto's chakra.

"Kei, where are you going!?" Kaito called out.

"No time, we have to go. Naruto's team is in trouble!" I called back.

"Kei, your not thinking straight!" Akira said with a sigh as she rushed after me.

Kaito and Natsumi exchange looks as they follow after me along with Akira. However, all I cared about was helping Naruto.
