The morning sun was fully raised in the sky, casting a warm, golden light over the Hidden Leaf Village. The once vibrant colors of dawn were now settling into the usual hues of day, illuminating the familiar surroundings of Kei Misaki's new residence. It had been a week since Kei had moved into her father Orochimaru's old house, situated on the outskirts of the village. The house, a black structure with a purple roof and a white snake statue at its entrance, stood in stark contrast to the more traditional homes in the village, a constant reminder of her father's legacy. This was the residence she had recently moved into following her departure from Anko's place, where she had been living since she was seven years old. Her times with Anko were good and bad, especially when she discovered that Anko lied to her, but she was slowly rebuilding her relationship with Anko.

The week had been adjusting to her new surroundings, exploring the house, taking in the beautifully painted purple walls. Kei had been spending the last couple of days of training with Jairiya and Anko; however, today she was exploring more of the house when she spotted a picture hanging on the wall that had a picture of her father around what seemed like the age of four and two people standing next to him.

Kei had spent the week adjusting to her new surroundings, exploring the house, and taking in its uniquely painted purple walls. Although the transition from Anko's home to this new setting was significant, Kei was settling in well. Her recent days had been filled with rigorous training sessions alongside Jiraiya and Anko, focusing on mastering her emotions to better control her curse mark. The training was challenging but also crucial, given the recent events and the responsibility that now lay on her shoulders.

This morning, Kei was taking a break from her training. After a hearty breakfast, she explored more of her new home. As she wandered through the corridors, she came across a framed photograph hanging on the wall. The picture depicted her father, Orochimaru, at what seemed to be the age of four, flanked by two individuals who must have been his parents. The woman had long purple hair, and the man had spiky black hair with striking golden eyes. Kei found herself staring at the photograph, trying to piece together fragments of her father's past.

'Those two must be father parents.' Kei thought as she studied the picture of a woman who had long purple hair and a man with spikey black hair and golden eyes.

She snapped out of her thoughts and decided to get some fresh air. She put on her sandals and stepped outside into the crisp morning. The sun was bright and the village was waking up to the hustle and bustle of a new day.

As she walked through the streets of the village, she felt a sense of calm wash over her for the first time in a day. For once, she didn't feel burdened by the thought of her father and her complex feelings for him and the village. The moment of peace was short-lived as she saw a familiar figure coming towards her. It was none other than her teammate Kaito.

"Hey, Kei!" Kaito Hoshigaki called as he ran over towards Kei with a wide smile showing his shark-like teeth as he stopped in front of Kei.

"Hey, Kaito," Kei greeted with a nod."What's up? You need something?" She asked.

Kaito smiled slightly, seeing that Kei seemed like she was herself again and not in a bad mood and constantly lost in space."Lady Tsunade wants to see us for a mission. Akira is already on her way there and asked me to find it," He replied.

"All right," Kei replied, her interest piqued at a new mission after being forced to rest until she was healed."Let's go we don't want to keep Lady Tsunade waiting."

As the two teammates made their way through the bustling morning streets of the village, Kei's mind wandered to the offer the Third Hokage left for her to sign the monkey contract, yet she wasn't sure if she wanted to sign it. Kaito glanced at Kei noticing she was deep in thought.
