Calem x Female Reader

You put down the final box in your new room. Your Meowth immediately jumped ontop of it. You just moved to Vaniville Town from Malie City in the Alola region. After living in a city in Alola for so long, your grandparents finally felt ready to retire in a small town, so they chose Vaniville in Kalos. "___? Do you need help?" You heard your grandpa call from downstairs, "No Pops! I just got the last box in!" "Oh good! Come down when you're ready ok? We're going to introduce ourselves to the neighbors" "Be down in a minute!" You called back before grabbing your bag and smoothing down your dress. Your Meowth then jumped down from the box and started to follow you down the stairs.

You realized very quickly that Vaniville wasn't a very big town. It had a small community of houses, as the grocery store and pokemon center were in Aquacorde Town close by. Amongst the people you met, were four young people: Tierno, Shauna, Trevor, and Serena, whom you were able to befriend very quickly. "Oh ___! You'll have to meet Calem!" Shauna exclaimed. "Calem?" Shauna nodded eagerly, "He's my neighbor, and a pretty strong trainer." Serena explained much more calmly than her friend, "He's meeting Professor Sycamore in Lumiose City right now, but he'll be back tomorrow." You nodded. "Why don't we all meet in Aquacorde tomorrow and hang out? Then we can introduce ___ and Calem." Trevor offered and everyone agreed.

The next day you were sitting with your new friends at a table in Aquacorde, your Meowth eating a bowl of berries beside you. You were teaching everyone about "Alola" and showing them the hand motion that works as a greeting and farewell, when a shadow passed overhead. You looked up and saw a Talonflame pass overhead before landing nearby. Your breath hitched a bit when you saw the boy get down. He had shoulder length black hair and dark eyes. He was breathtaking, and when his eyes met yours, you could feel your face redden. Shauna and Serena looked at each other and smiled, they saw your face, and noticed the tinge of pink on Calem's face when he looked at you. "Calem over! Saved you a seat!" Your head shot up, you were sitting next to Shauna and you watched her get up and offer her chair to Calem, "Thanks Shauna, hey everyone." He answered cool before turning to you, "Serena called and told me someone new moved to town, I'm Calem." He held his hand out to you. You took it, "Alola, I'm ___" he smiled, "Alola?" "It means hello and goodbye Calem." Trevor explained and Calem nodded. "That explains your Meowth there." "Y-yea." You cursed yourself for stuttering, "I mean yea, Pops told me there's a form of Meowth that looks different then mine, but they're not really in this region, but..you all traveled here right?" Everyone nodded. You reached into your bag and pulled out a photo, "Can you help me find this pokemon?" Your fingers covered the faces in the picture, but the pokemon was clear, "A Helioptile? Yea, I know exactly where to find them. We can go whenever." Calem smiled, and your heartbeat sped up. "Really?" "Calems great at catching pokemon ___! He'll definitely help!" Tierno exclaimed. You smiled wide and stood up excitedly, "Thank you! Can we go now?" Calem laughed, "Sure, anyone else coming?" "I wi-" Trevor was about to speak, but Shauna covered his mouth quickly, "Oh we all promised to help Serena at her house, you two go on!" Serena and Tierno nodded while Trevor just looked confused. You waved Alola to everyone before scooping up Meowth and following Calem to his Talonflame.

You were relieved when you finally touched down in Ambrette Town. You had to cling to Calem the whole time and you were sure he could hear your heartbeat beating erratically the whole time, and if he did, he may have just assumed it was because if the height and speed they were flying at. "Through here ___." He said after returning Talonflame to it's ball. You followed, "Helioptile like desert areas where they can sun themselves and build up electricity." "So they're electric types?" "Electric and Normal" Calem corrected. You arrived in a dry windy desert area, a where Rhyhorn sat next to a young woman. She smiled as you both approached, "Need a ride across the passage?" Calem nodded and she helped both of you onto the Pokémon and Calem lead it onto the route. "Can I ask why you're looking for a Helioptile? I assume they have something to do with the people in your picture." You were silent for a moment. Meowth noticed your distress and nuzzle you, giving you the courage to speak, "Those...were my Mom and Dad, they were from here and worked at the Power Plant...they died in a plane crash years ago, but they had a Helioptile. I guess I'm hoping having one will make me feel closer to them y'know?" You leaned your head against Calems back, fighting back tears. The Rhyhorn stopped. "I'm sorry ___, but I think we can make your wish come true" Calem pointed to a large flat rock where a red Helioptile was sleeping. "Why is it red instead of yellow?" You asked, but Calem just shrugged. You took a step forward and Meowth jumped into action, "Meowth, night slash!"

You threw a great ball at the Helioptile and watched it wiggles. Once. Twice. Three times. The ball stopped and dinged. You smiled, "Yes!" You ran to pick it up and jumped up and down with Meowth. "Nice catch ___!" Calem smiled. "Thank you Calem! I caught this because of you!" You ran over to him and wrapped your arms around him, hugging him tight and placing a kiss on his cheek. Once you realized what you did, both your faces burned red and pulled away from him. "I'm so sorry Calem!" You panicked, but Calem just smiled at you, "Happy to help ___ and..." Calem looked away, "Maybe..we take this slow yea?" You blinked before smiling, "That sounds great Calem.."
