Song: Wouldn't It Be Nice? by The Beach Boys

[Name] ran as fast as her legs would take her towards the beach. She was supposed to meet her boyfriend a half hour ago. Her Magby was trailing along behind her, but he was too slow with his little legs. [Name] eventually noticed him falling behind and groaned. "Magby! He's already gonna kill us for being late!" She scolded. But nonetheless, she ran back and scooped Magby up into her arms and took off again toward Melemele Beach.

Finally she saw the beach come into view, and the unmistakable blonde hair of her boyfriend on the sand. She smiled and forced herself to go faster so she can spend as much time as possible with him. "Gladion!" [Name] called out. The boy turned and looked at her. The scowl he wore slowly melting into a soft smile. "Took you long enough" He smirked ash she finally came to a stop.

[Name] breathed hard as Magby jumped out of her arms and towards Gladion's Silvally. A strange looking pokémon, but Magby and [Name] grew to love it just as much as Gladion did. "S-sorry! Overslept!" [Name] managed to breathe out. She took a moment to catch her breath before standing up straight again. Gladion leaned in and kissed her softly, "I figured as much. What are we doing today?"

"Hmm..let's see..." Her eyes drifted over the beach. "Did you ever get a chance to build a sand castle?" She asked, eyes suddenly sparkling. Gladion shook his head now and she grabbed his hand. "Then that's the activity for today! Let's go get pails and shovels!" She exclaimed happily, tugging him along. Silvally lowered itself onto its stomach to allow Magby to get on its back before they took off after their friends.

See, [Name] heard all about Gladion's childhood, along with his sister Lillie. And [Name] had made it her personal mission to make sure he filled up all the childhood memories he should have had growing up, but never got the chance to. They were both only 17 after all, they still had time before they became adults. Why not enjoy youth while they can?

Despite many of Gladion's protests, the two of them spent their whole day playing in the sand. They made castles, moats, little sand sculptures, anything they...[Name] could think of.

It wasn't Gladion's most favorite thing to do, but he just went along with it. Because the sweet smile on [Name]'s face, the look of pure concentration as she stuck her tongue out a bit, the glee in her eyes when she put on the finishing touches, it was all worth it.

The sun was starting to sink below the horizon, but neither of them were ready to go yet. "One more Gladion? Please?" [Name] begged. Magby also looked like he was begging, striking the same pose as [Name]. Gladion rolled his eyes, "Ok one more, then I should get you home. Don't need your mom coming after me." Gladion shuddered. [Name] nodded, her mom liked Gladion, but she can be scary when she wanted to be.

Gladion reached behind him for the small shovel and grabbed it, but when he brought it up to his hand, it was not the same way one he had been using before. [Name] gasped and started screaming, "Put it back! Put it back!" Gladion jumped up as the Sandyghast tried to bite his hand. Gladion quickly dropped the shovel as he, [name], Silvally, and Magby ran from the beach. Their beach day now done.

Gladion and [Name] were laughing as he walked her home. And [Name] swears she could never get tired of his laugh, it was the best thing she's ever heard. She could feel her heart falling lower with every step they got closer to home.

When they got to the gate of her home, she stopped, making Gladion look back. "You ok?" He asked. [Name] shook her head, "I don't want to go home yet..." Gladion sighed and cupped her cheek. "I know, but just hang in there a little longer ok? I'm going to save up enough money so you and I can live in our own house together. One perfect for us." [Name] smiled. Gladion talked about their future often. After living a life where the future seemed so bleak, he loved thinking of one that was brighter, one that involved her. She finally nodded, "Ok..." Gladion kissed her softly. When it was over, he pressed his forehead against hers. "It'll all be worth it...goodnight [Name]." "Goodnight Gladion..."
