You sat in your dorm room, curled up in your bed. It's been days since you left. Surely you were missing assignments and possibly failing classes, but did it matter? Not at the moment. You were feeling miserable. Your mind wandered to the one who made you feel this way. You shookbyour head quickly. Now was not the time to think about him. He broke your heart. He wasn't worth the brain cells.

Your thoughts were disrupted by a knock on your door. You wanted to ignore it. That's what you've been doing anyway. You didn't answer the door for anyone, not even when you heard that it was Director Clavell's voice. "[Name]...it's me. Open up." You heard the gruff voice of Arven outside your door. You let out a sigh and sat up. Your Sprigatito, who was asleep at yout feet, jumped up excitedly. Probably happy to see you up and about again. You kept the blanket wrapped around you as you trudged to the door.

You opened it, but only a crack. "Oh thank goodness! You're ok!" Arven smiled wide, but that quickly disappeared as he took in your frazzled state. "What happened? Why haven't we seen you in days?" Concern was written all over his face. "I'm fine..thanks for checking up.." You tried to close the door, but Arven put his foot in the doorway. "Come on, tell me what happened. I tried asking Nick, but he wouldn't say anything.." Your face soured at that name, and you felt tears stinging, threatening to spill. Arven picked up on it, pushing the door open a little wider, "What happened..?" You didn't answer. Clearly Arven had to take drastic actions, "I'll make you your favorite? If you let me in?" Now that was tempting. Truthfully you haven't been eating really. With a heavy sigh, you opened the door, just enough for Arven to come through.

As Arven prepared, you began to tell him what happened. Nick is..was...your boyfriend. You had met during the treasure hunt your first year at Naranja Acadamey. You started out as rivals, going through the gym challenge, but it became so much more. What started as envy for eachother quickly evolved into a romance. You thought he was your treasure. But recently, you found out that wasn't the case. Last week you were in the school's library and saw your boyfriend kissing another boy. You stood there shocked, wanting to move, to slap him, maybe to cry, but you were paralyzed. His eyes locked with yours and he pulled away just for a moment, "It's better this way." And resumed what he was doing. You ran into your dorm and hadn't left since.

Once you finished, you could see Arven shaking with rage. He slammed down the utensils in his hand. "That bastard..." He started storming toward the door, but you quickly grabbed his arm. "Don't..it's fine..." Arven turned on a dime and gripped your shoulders tightly. "It's not fine [Name]!" "Yes it is.." "How can you say that!?" Tears spilled, staining your cheeks. "Because it was my fault..." Arven's grip loosened as you looked down at your feet. You heard him whisper above you, "How..?"

"I-I wasn't good enough...maybe I wasn't showing him enough affection? M-maybe I was too focused on myself, or was more selfish than I realized..Nick was a good guy...he wouldn't have done that if he wasn't pushed. So I must have done something wrong to make him do that.." You continued crying in silence. Arven was seething. He wanted to be there for you, but at the same time he wanted to wring your ex's neck. Instead, Arven took a deep breath. "Listen [name]. It is not your fault. I don't care what your ex's reason for cheating was, it is never ok to cheat on your partner. It is never ok to treat them like that. If there's a problem, you say something. You don't cheat on them!" You looked up at him through your tears, "But-!" "No! I don't care if it seems like I'm being harsh! I won't see you blame yourself over this! Not when you've done nothing wrong! Ok?" Arven's eyes had a wild desperation in them. You hadn't seen him like this before, it made your heart beat like crazy. All you could was nod.
