Barry x Female Reader

You stood up and wiped the sweat from your brow. You were working with the combee hives in your backyard: collecting honey and making sure the pokemon had everything they needed before you moved onto the garden in the front yard. "[Name]!" Your younger brother called out, his Psyduck following close behind. You smiled as he approached, but that smile quickly melted when you saw his face. "Danny, what's wrong?" You asked, concern lacing your voice. Your younger brother grabbed onto the bottom of your shirt and tugged on it. "There's a weird guy outside the house by the Katsura tree!"

You followed your brother from the backyard of your home to the front. The breeze blew pleasantly across the field of flowers around your home in Floaroma Meadows. The sweet smell of the flowers would normally energize you, especially when the wind blew just right so you would catch a whiff of the Katsura tree in your front yard, but you were worried.

Trainers would find the Katsura tree by your home all the time. Slathering honey on in hopes of luring some rare pokemon. Your family didn't mind, and were quite used to it. So the fact that Danny was concerned about this one worried you.

When you both rounded the corner, you saw your older brother, Henry, arguing with a boy about your age with blonde hair. "C'mon! Just let me use the tree!" The blonde boy practically shouted. You winced at his volume. If he was planning on catching pokemon, he probably just scared most of them away. You watched your older brother huff, "No way, you're being way too loud. We got a business going on here! And since you can't stay quiet, you need to leave!" Your older brother's voice wasn't much quiet than the boys. Danny tugged on your shirt and looked up at you with pleading eyes.

You stepped forward, "Henry? What's going on?" Both guys stopped arguing to look at you. "Sis! This guy's just being a bother!" The blonde boy glared, "I am not! I just wanted to catch some pokemon! The old man who sold me this honey said I could use this tree for that!" The boy pulled out a small jar of honey, with a label you knew all too well. You sighed and walked up to put a hand in your older brother's shoulder. "Of course, you can use the tree, but please understand we do have many bug and grass type pokemon around here, so please try to keep your voice at a reasonable level." "Sis!" You glared at your brother, "Henry, dad gave him permission." Henry grumbled at this before stomping back inside the house. Danny and his Psyduck followed close behind.

You turned back to the blonde guy. "Hey, thanks for your help! That guy just wouldn't listen!" The guy smiled. "Dad sent you here?" "That old guy selling the honey? Yea! I told him there were some pokemon I wanted to catch. So he sold me some honey and sent me this way!" He was loud. "What pokemon?" You asked, genuinely curious. The guy smiled wide, his eyes lighting up. "A Munchlax and a Heracross! Have you seen them around here?" Yes, you have. But they don't come out very often. "Yes, but you'll have a hard time luring them out, even with honey. You'll need patience." "Patience! I can do that!" He turned his back to face the tree and unscrewed the lid on the jar of honey. He hesitated. Turning back to you, "So...do I just... leave the jar here?" He asked.

You laughed a little, and the guys ears turned pink. "Here, let me show you." You hold out your hand, and he places the jar of honey in it. You dip your hand in the jar, scooping up a large glob of honey. You walk over to the tree and lather honey all over the trunk. You repeated this until all the honey was gone. "Now you just wait to see if a pokemon comes by. Come back later to check on it." You wiped your hand down on your apron before screwing the lid back on and pocketing the jar. "I'll take care of the jar for you too," you smiled. The guy was buzzing like a Combee. "Awesome! Ok, I'll come back later! Oh! I'm Barry, by the way!" "[Name], just try to keep your voice down while you're here, ok?" "Got it! See ya [Name]!" He ran off before you could say more.
