It's funny, y'know? You never think that some random chance encounters could lead to the romance of a lifetime.

You laughed at your friend as they threw another dart and completely missed. She threw three darts, and all of them had hit the outside border of the dart board. "Ok, how can you be this bad?" You asked, trying to suppress more laughter by taking a drink of your hard cider. Your Rufflet, who was sitting on the table next to you pecking at a bowl of pokéfood, shook about. Sending some of its feathers floating around you. Your friend playfully glared at you, "Then show us your ways! Oh, mighty dart master!" You shoved her arm playfully and grabbed the darts. You aimed carefully, hitting triple fifteen, twenty, and bullseye. "Ha!" You jumped for joy Adnan your Rufflet followed suit, sending more feathers flying. You smiled triumphantly at your friend who just smiled and rolled their eyes.

As you walked back to your drink, darts whizzed past you in the lane next to yours. You turned and watched as someone hit a triple twenty, twenty-five, and a bullseye. "Damn! Nice!" You turned and clapped toward the thrower. Your eyes widened when you realized it was Leon, formerly undefeated champion of Galar. Leon smiled and waved, "Thanks, you're not so bad yourself!" He winked and you felt your face heat up. "Hey you're gonna make them faint!" A guy next to him laughed, and you recognized him as Gordie, one of gum leaders for Circhester. You waved it off, "I'm fine, that was still cool though!"

Suddenly a hand was on your shoulder, your friend trying to get your attention, "Hey since we all know you're gonna sweep us at darts, mind if we go dancing?" You smiled wide, "Yea! Let's go!" You returned your Rufflet to its ball before smiling and waving at Leon, "See ya champ! Have fun!" Leon stared after you as you walked away. Gordie took the chance to take the darts from him and start aiming, "Couldn't even get their name, better luck next time Leon." Miss.

"[Name]! We're gonna be late!" You rushed to put your shoes on and grab your bike helmet as your roommate rushed you. "I know, I know! Work just went late!" It had been two weeks since that night at the bar, and you had basically forgotten your brief interaction with Leon. Right now your focus was just getting to the movie on-time.

You both ran out of the small townhouse you shared in Wyndon, jumped onto your bikes and started making way to the movie theater.

Raihan was waiting outside of the movie theater for Leon. He glanced at the time on his phone, "Probably got lost again..good thing I told him the movie wasn't until 7pm.." it was currently 6pm. Finally, Raihain could see Leon's long purple hair. "There you are!" "Hey sorry! Got a bit lost!" Leon laughed before coming to a stop in front of Raihan. "We going? I hope we didn't miss too many previews!" "Movie doesn't start for another hour." A beat. "What!? Then why'd you make me get here so early!?" Raihan shrugged and smiled, "I knew you'd be late! But hey, now you can tell me all about that person you and Gordie met playing darts!" Leon felt his face flushed, "There's not much to say. We were playing darts next to them and their friends, they were really good, and said hi to us before leaving to go dancing." "Didn't get a name? A number?" Leon shook his head and Raihan laughed. "Well tough luck man! Were they cute?" "Well, yea..." Leon rubbed his neck sheepishly. It did suck, he would probably never see you again.

"[Name] let's go! Everyone else is already inside!" "I'm coming!" Leon's eyes widened. He recognized that voice. He turned toward where the sound was coming from, and saw you and some guy locking up your bikes before running toward the theater. You looked frazzled, but still very attractive. Leon's palms felt sweaty and his heart started beating faster. Before he could say anything to get your attention, Raihan beat him to it. "[Name]!?" He exclaimed. You stopped in your tracks and faced them. Your eyes widened as you stared at Raihan, briefly glancing at Leon who had sucked in a breath. "Todd, one sec!" Todd groaned, but you ignored it running to Raihain.
