You wandered around the Eterna forest, looking for something, anything to eat. The buneary you had befriended keeping you company and looking as well. "Buneary!" "I'm hungry too.." You had been wandering the forest for a long time. Your parents left you here a long time ago, and you had no way to get home. This buneary was your only friend, and the only thing protecting you from wild pokemon. Suddenly, you heard rustling and immediately grew scared, so buneary took a protective stance in front of you. A little girl with auburn hair and a boy with black hair emerged from the bushes. "See, Goh! I told you I heard someone over here!" "Hey where are your parents?" The boy asked, moving closer. You took a step back, and Buneary growled, making both the kids take a step back. "D-dont hurt me!" You stated. The kids looked confused before another voice came from nearby, "Chloe! Goh! There you are! I told you not to wander off.." A man who looked similar to the little girl stepped on and looked at you. "And who's this?" "Dad I think she's lost!" The girl said, the man looked over at you, "Is that true?" You stared at him before nodding and tears spilled out. "Mommy and Daddy left a long time ago..." The man's face hardened before looking over at buneary. "I see...well, would you and buneary like to come with us? We can get something to eat?" You were apprehensive. These were strangers. The boy moved closer to you, "Yea! Eterna City has these cookies that are really good!" Your eyes shown, "Cookies!?" The boy laughed and put you more at ease. "What about buneary?" You asked softly. "You can put it in its ball or have it walk with us?" The man asked. "I.. don't have a ball for buneary.." The man looked at you both and smiled, pulling a poke ball from his bag and handing it to you. "Maybe she would like to stay with you?" You took the ball and turned to buneary. "Do.. you wanna come with me?" "Bun!" The buneary jumped and tapped the button on the ball, being collected into it. "Well, that settles it. Now, what's your name little one?" The man asked. "___.." "You can call me Cerise, this is my daughter Chloe and her friend Goh." Goh smiled and grabbed your hand, "Let's go eat!" He said excitedly, pulling you along while Cerise and Chloe followed after you, laughing.

~the present~

You stared into your rotom phone while it rang. You were waiting for Goh to pick up the phone while you were on a train in the Galar region and were bored, deciding to give your best friend a call. You were another one of Professor Cerise's research fellows and currently looking more into what brings so many different kinds of pokemon to the wild areas. "Hey ___!" His face finally showed up on your camera, making your cheeks turn a faint pink. Truthfully you've had a crush on Goh since you two were little. After the Cerise's adopted you into their family, you played with Chloe and Goh everyday and feelings just naturally formed for the boy. "Hey Goh! How's catching all the pokemon going?" You asked, leaning your face on one of your hands. "Great! And guess what! Reboot evolved into Cinderace!" He turned the phone so you could see his Cinderace behind him as it waved at you. "That's great Goh! Where are you and Ash off to now then?" His grin widened. "Actually we're just about in Galar, that's where you are too right?" Your heart pounded with excitement. "Yea! I'm actually about to pull into the Wild area. We can meet up!" "Sure, we should be there in about 30 minutes!" "Great! I'll wait for you guys at the station!" You both hung up after that and you decided to let your Lopunny out of its ball. It stretched out its body before sitting across from you. "Lo we're gonna see Goh! Isn't that great!" "Lop" she tilted her head a bit as you sat back, "I guess Ash too but..that's just how it is I guess. Still, being able to see him at all will be treat.." you watched the wild area station get closer and closer, then an idea hit you. "Hey maybe I can make curry for them! We'll have half an hour before they get here, that's plenty of time to gather ingredients!" "Lopunny!"
