Naira was in her room after sending off Mohit and Nandhini. Their whispered conversations with Naitik and Akshara created some awkwardness in Naira but she had no energy to bother. All she was thinking about was getting a nice sleep.
Naira stretched down on the bed when there was a knock on the door. She stood up and opened the door and saw Naitik with a plate of chocolate cupcakes and strawberry sauce
"Sorry for disturbing princess, but I made these for you" said Naitik
"Papa dont be formal, andar aayiye na" said Naira while she dragged Naitik inside
Naitik and Naira settled down on the cot.
"Naira beta ....Mohit uncle suggested a rishta for you" said Naitik as he dipped the cupcake in the strawberry sauce
"Rishta...?"exclaimed Naira as she took a bite of the cupcake
"Yes princess...tum bhi postgraduation kar rahi ho aur Rohan and Gayu's marriage will be turning one year old soon ...its time for us to find a suitable guy for you na" said Naitik
"But papa what if......" hesitated Naira
"This is not a compulsion dear, just meet the boy once and if you are okay we will proceed the matters if not no problem " said Naitik
"Papa can I get some time till morning to decide and tell?" asked Naira
"Sure princess and I will message the guy's photograph that Mohit sent me..do have a look so that you have an idea about whom we are asking you to meet. And the information about the guy is that he is the DSP of Udaipur and his name is Kartik. " said Naitik as he stood up and left the room.
Naira locked the door behind Naitik and returned to her bed.
"Rishta...shaadi...why are relatives behind my marriage?, I got a good PG seat but no one appreciates me for that...even in bhai's wedding all were like next its you ....next its you....meri shaadi mein mujse zyada in logon ko interest kyun hai?.Arrey yaar karlenge shaadi inti bhi kya jaldi? Meri mummy papa hai uske baare mein sochne keliye aap log kyun pareshan ho rahe ho?" she mumbled while munching the cupcakes
The mobile vibrated and made Naira turn her attention towards it. The notification showed that Naitik had sent a picture. She took the mobile and unlocked it. While she touched the download option her heart raced till the image loaded and thus appeared his photograph
