Kartik was at the Pantnagar Airport. He was going back to Udaipur. He was going to meet Naira after days and that thought was the most exciting part of going back. He had missed meeting her everyday and spending beautiful evenings with her . Just her presence had made his life so beautiful and special. And now he was going to meet her.

Just then his mobile rang and it was Adarsh

"Hey Adarsh...long time" said Kartik

"DSP sir toh bohot busy hai aajkal baath nahi ho pa rahi hai...aur batao flight kab hai?" Asked Adarsh

"Flight? How did you?" Asked Kartik

"Dont think that if you don't tell me no one would do...Shubham told me that you are going to Udaipur" said Adarsh

"Haan man its been almost a month since I left for home..so" said Kartik

"Kartik, I didn't know you could lie this well...mujhe ache se pata hai ki Naira's college Silver Jubilee function is there and she is also nominated for an award and you are  attending the function is the primary reason for your trip" said Adarsh

Kartik realised that he was caught and smiled foolishly.

"Kitna supportive hai tu...travelling all the way to see Naira receiving an award...I really appreciate the way you respect her career" said Adarsh

The conversation reminded Kartik of Vikrant Kapoor and his blood boiled in anger

"Kya hua Kartik? Why are you silent?" Asked Adarsh

Kartik left a deep sigh and said, "Kuch nahi hai yaar..bas soch raha hoon ki agar koi mard apni biwi ke profession ko support karein usko appreciate karne ka situation kyun hai? Why cant all men support their wive's views and careers?"

"Achanak se yeh khayal kyu aaya hai tuje? Kuch hua hai kya? You know that you can share with me na" said Adarsh

"Ek aadmi hai...Vikrant Kapoor he was Naira's senior in under graduation, he had approached her with a marriage proposal and posed conditions that she should quit her career and be his wife and when Naira and her family rejected it he had tortured her mentally" said Kartik and explained everything in detail to Adarsh

Adarsh was shocked on hearing it

"Men like him exist even in this 21st century? How can society be good if people like him still roam around? Acha hua Naira is in good hands now" said Adarsh

"No man...woh Aadmi ab Surgeon ban gaya hai...aur woh Naira ki college ka Cardiosurgery join kar raha hai...upar se he is one of the guests for today's event" said Kartik

"What? But don't worry Kartik...we are all there with Naira now we will not let that repeat" said Adarsh

"Of course Im not letting it happen again...already mere hote hue usko hurt karne keliye kisine koshish kiya tha...that just made me so shameful of myself aur ab yeh aadmi who has a history of torturing her is making an entry...Ill not let another attempt of hurting her in my presence. Tuje pata hai Adarsh...I just know Vikrant Kapoor's name, I have not even seen his face yet he is the man I resent the most in my life...the mere thought that he had hurt her is enough to make me consider him as the person I hate the most... this time if he tries doing something wrong to her then he would have to face the other side of Kartik Goenka...jis side ko woh kabhi dekhna nahi chahega! Pata hai tuje jab Naira uss aadmi ke baare mein bata kar ro rahi thi I felt so miserable...Naira ki ek aasu mujhe itna helpless feel karwa rahi hai...that I could not change whatever happened and all that I could is only listen to her and try consoling her..I dont even know why Im feeling that way"said Kartik
