It was dessert time after a good meal. Katoris containing the sweet rice pudding made from creamy milk and rice and flavoured with the richness of nuts , cardamom and saffron were served to everyone present at the dining table. "Fancy how time had passed it was just like yesterday when he had tasted it for the first from her hands on the occasion of their wedding date getting fixed and now here he was tasting it again on the occasion of her pehli rasoi" thought Kartik as he took a spoonful of wholesomeness. Just like how he was enjoying every morsel of it with his eyes closed every other member present there equally enjoyed the kheer.

"Wow bhabhi from how much I know about Indian food I haven't had such an amazing dish ever" said Ansh

"Sach mein Naira this is soo awesome ab Mumbai jaake humein jaldi se waapis aana hoga just to taste this kheer again" said Naksh

Just then Krish who was being fed kheer by Swarna also squealed in excitement

"Lagta hai Krish bhi aapki kheer ka fan hogaya, Just like us" chuckled Shubham

"Naira beta....your pehli rasoi is such a blockbuster hit...." Smiled Swarna

"Haan issi kushi mein , mein tumhe kuch dena chahthi hoon" said Dadi and took out a box

Opening it she took out a pair of diamond studded bangles for Naira

"To adorn the hands that made these amazing dishes" said Dadi and walked to her

"Par dadi...yeh..." Naira was hesitant

"Beta...yeh tumhari sasural mein tumhara pehla taufa hai..isiliye mana mat karna..." said Dadi

"Haan Naira....maa is right..." said Manish

Naira looked at Kartik with an apprehensive look but he gave her a slight nod with an assuring smile agreeing with Dadi and Manish. Sighing in acceptance Naira finally nodded in agreement

"Thats like a good girl..Kittu yeh lo pehnao usse" said Dadi

Smiling warmly Kartik got the bangles and slid them down Naira's wrist. Just then Rohan walked in carrying bags with gifts

"Rohan bhaiya...aayiye aayiye right time" said Shubham

"Radhe Krishna everyone" said Rohan

"Radhe Krishna beta....aao tum bhi kheer khalo...Naira ne apni haathon se banaya hai" said Swarna

By then Naira walked to Rohan and hugged him

"Naira..." breathed out Rohan in happiness as he engulfed her in his embrace

"Good morning Saale saab" said Kartik before Rohan's eyes could tear up on seeing Naira

"Good morning jijaji" Rohan smiled and hugged Kartik. He then took the blessings of Dadi, Manish and Swarna

"Jiju aapki flight prepone ho chuki hai..if we don't start now we will miss the flight" said Shubham

"Teek hai chalte hai" said Naksh looking at his watch

The announcement of their departure made everyone a bit emotional
