Yeah...time flew.Kaira's letters and video calls continued as they grew more and more closer. Singhania and Goenka households started their prep for the wedding. Singhania household's pampering of Naira grew tremendously as the wedding inched closer. After the night duty incident Vikrant didn't give up on his attempts to show Naira down but much to his irritation Kartik never let her give up on her attempts and helped her ace the work like always. All those incidents only increased their longing for each other's physical presence. They had met during a weekend when Kartik had come to Udaipur but that meeting wasn't longer adding to their yearning.
A month finally ended and thus ended Kartik's 3 months posting in Nainital. It was finally the day when he was returning to Udaipur once and for all. It was also the wedding anniversary of Swarna and Manish that day and Kartik had to reach the Udaivilas Hotel for the function soon after landing so he was under the frenzy of leaving as early as possible. His heart was not under control as he was the distance between him and Naira were to end once and for all and that only increased his pace of packing things. Cross checking everything Kartik was set to leave when he bumped into Sarla maa
"Kartik baba sab kuch leliya na?" Asked Sarla maa
"Haan Sarla maa sab kuch leliya" said Kartik
"Toh phir yeh box kiska hai?" Asked Sarla maa taking a box from the table nearby
"Yeh...yeh aapkeliye hai, mein khud dena chahtha tha par uske pehle aap ne dekh liya" he sighed
"Mere liye?" Sarla maa's eyes bulged in surprise
"Haan kholke toh dekhiye na Sarla maa" said Kartik
Sarla Maa opened the box and inside was a beautiful saree
"Yeh...yeh toh....aap mere liye...itni taqleef kyu liya tha aapne" she said
"Sarla maa aapko sirf muh se maa nahi kaha tha...I really meant it...aur maa keliye kuch lene mein kya taqleef hoga...dekh ke batayiye pasand hai ya nahi?" Asked Kartik
"Bete ne pyar se liya hai pasand kaise nahi aayega...bohot hi acha hai.." said Sarla maa
"Toh fir mein chalta hoon Sarla maa...apna dyan rakhiye" said Kartik
"Haan baba...mujhe bhool nahi jayenge na" said Sarla maa
"Aise kaise bhool jaunga? Aapko kabhi bhi bhool nahi saktha hoon...bohot jald wedding invitation ke saath aaunga aur apni shaadi mein aapko invite karunga...aapko zarur aana padega" he said
"Of course apni bete ki shaadi hai miss thodi karungi" said Sarla maa
Kartik smiled at her and touched her feet before leaving from there. Getting into the car his journey to the pantnagar airport began. Leaning against the window Kartik was watching the scenery.
