56| Naira's Past

Hello guys here is the next chapter . I know you guys are angry with me for not posting but life has not been easy in the past one week. Right from my fall and surgery everything has been a rough patch to me. With me being in hospital my pet succumbed to death and I have been having so much pain in the leg even after surgery so I have been shuffling between home college and hospital so please forgive my delays. Im so sorry

Few days passed since Naira came home. She was terribly missing him but the Silver Jubilee function arrangement works along with usual hospital works made her have a busy time that she didn't know the passing of time. Kartik too was busy in his works making sure that he made up for all those time he had missed work to be with Naira. The Goenka house was buzzing with alteration works while the Singhania household was busy pampering Naira to their heart's content. Kaira were connected on their night video calls as per their routine. Life was so blissful to sum in a few words

Naira was back home after her long day of work.

"Naira change karke aao...I have made pizza for Dinner" said Rohan

"Bhai? Aap ne pizza banaya ? Even without me asking for it?" She was surprised

"Haan haan...I had a mood to have pizza so I made one...now come soon if not it will turn cold" said Rohan

"Okay fine..." she shrugged her shoulders and ran to her room

Changing quickly she joined everyone at the dinner table

"Wow...kya baat hai aaj sab log dinner table pe hai..." said Naira as she dragged her chair to seat herself

"Haan...bas kuch hi mahine bache hai...after that we cant have a family dinner like this so we have planned that from tonight all dinners at home will happen like this" said Naitik

"Family dinner is always love...Im excited for this" said Naira

"Kya baat hai..apne raajkumar se baat karne se alava kisi aur cheez ko lekhar bhi tum excited ho sakthi ho?" Giggled Gayu

"Bhabhi...." Naira pleaded with her eyes

"Fine..Nanand ji...come lets enjoy the dinner" said Gayu and the dinner began with great happiness.

As they were half way through their dinner Naira's mobile rang. She immediately took it wishing it to be from Kartik but it was from Suhana

"Haan Suha" she said attending the call

"Naira....mujhe ek baat kehna hai tumse" said Suhana

"Batao kya baat hai?" Asked Naira

"Kushi just sent me the silver jubilee invitation brochure which her department people gave her today evening and one of the guests is..." said Suhana

"Is?" Asked Naira

"Dr.Vikrant Kapoor and he is even joining our Cardio surgery department " said Suhana

Vikrant Kapoor the name rang in Naira's ears. Even after a year just a name brought out so much anger, hatred, aversion and resentment in her mind. She dropped the piece of pizza back on her plate and took a glass of water and gulped it to cool herself down. After many deeps breaths she was back to normal

"Let him come...his presence doesn't matter to me anymore as he has no connection to me, We are pg students why do we have to worry about SS department joinees" said Naira
