PATIENT

Jiang Cheng, who is still focused on Master Woo, notices him looking directly at his younger brother. This made him feel uneasy and unsettled, so he returned to his brother's side, standing close as he watched his younger brother bow in respect to the sect master of the Cloud Clan.

"I apologize for our unexpected visit, Master Woo," Wei said. Master Woo looked at him intently for a moment, assessing him and observing his mannerisms before responding with a smile.

"There is no need for such formality; I completely understand the gravity of the situation."

Jiang Cheng also joined his brother's pursuit, bowing and apologizing to the sect master, before firmly looking at him and says.

"My father, the Emperor, instructed me to do something that only he can explain to you. I apologize if I can't tell you who this person beside me is for the time being."

Master Woo nods and smiles, understanding his point.

"I understand; I am not in a hurry and am aware of the time constraints. It's also not the best time for it. You must be exhausted. Just stay here for now and wait for my servant to bring you both to your respective rooms," Master Woo said, his eyes filled with sincerity and warmth.

"Master Woo, thank you for your kindness and understanding, but may I also request a larger spare room? Our remaining people will arrive soon. I'm hoping Master Woo will allow them to stay comfortably for the night." Cheng inquires, and Master Woo simply nods, his expression indicating that he doesn't have time to waste for further explanation.

'Clarification can come later; I need to go bring aid to brother Fen first,' he reasoned, turning his back on them and leaving the room in silence.

Jiang Cheng stared at Master Woo's figure exiting the room for a long time before he sighed and went to shoulder his younger brother, who also let out a relief sigh while uncovering the silk that concealed him from others.

"Surprisingly, he's such an understanding person, brother," Wei said, satisfied, as Cheng smiled fondly at him.

"He is, indeed. Father is so lucky to have him as a sworn brother," he replied, gladly looking at the closing sliding door.

After meeting their guest for the evening, Master Woo dashed towards the Fang Hall, where his two grandson and some disciples were waiting for him.

He arrived at the location after two turns in the hallway and immediately spotted Lan Xichen standing in front of all the disciples he had chosen alongside Lan Zhan.

The sect leader walked a little further to be with them, and when he arrived, his two grandson and his disciples bowed in respect to him.

"Grandpa, I've already gathered the preferred disciples for battle," Lan Xichen said, and Master Woo nodded, patting his grandson's shoulder and praising him upon doing the task well, before shifting his gaze to his second grandson.

"Wanji, how is your wife's health?" He inquired, prompting his grandson to respond with a straight face.

"She's still recovering from the fever,"

The Jeng and Cloud clans formed an alliance by forcing their children to marry together, and Lan Zhan was chosen by the Jeng clan daughter, but Lan Zhan was never happy about it and never loved his wife. Lan Zhan still considered his wife to be nothing more than a wager for the clan alliance. Lan Xichen is aware of this and is concerned for his brother's well-being.

If he becomes the next Cloud Master, he will undoubtedly change some laws regarding their alliance with other sects; he cannot live in such a world with force or binding situations that are determined by other people; there is no freedom in it, and he despises it. He could not stand it!

Xichen looks at his younger brother with sentiment, while Master Woo continues to gaze at his second grandson with soft eyes and sighs; the Jeng daughter has been in their care for a year, but her health is deteriorating as the years pass.

The sect Master has already done everything he can to assist, but there are still things beyond his control, such as the people's fate and life capacity.

"I see, I hope her full recovery comes surging forth soon," he said, smiling and gripping his grandson's right shoulder, his eyes aiming to say hang in there before continuing to say.

"I'm asking you here as I have a task for you to complete. I'd like you to look after Prince Jeng and his people alongside your elder brother while I'm away. They will arrived later, I hope it's okay to you," Master Woo request to him and Lan Zhan nod with no second thoughts.

"I understand, Grandpa; there's no need to be concerned. I will do as you say," he replied, looking around at all the disciples gathered outside the Fang Hall by his elder brother.

Lan Zhan wanted to ask for what and why they were gathered, as well as where his grandfather was going, but seeing them dressed in battle gear, Lan Zhan could only assume they were going somewhere risky.

He didn't want to hold them up by explaining everything to him; it's time consuming. He completely understands; just one look tells him that something is going on that requires immediate assistance; he didn't need to ask any further questions.

Hearing his response, Master Woo felt relieved and went to Lan Xichen's side, saying his final instruction before they left for the Yao clan.

"Xichen, wake up all the young disciples and lead them to the mountain; instruct them to monitor the entire low and high perimeter while spreading the barrier across the entire land; and instruct our servants to clean all the guest rooms tonight in a hurry, as well as to assist all the Yao people carefully when they arrive."

With a trusting expression on his face, the sect master moved closer to his elder grandson and placed his right hand on his left shoulder.

"Xichen, I fully entrust the clan to you, and I am confident that you will do an excellent job guiding them. If I haven't returned with the Yao emperor and empress by tomorrow, I want you to bring all of our people up to Moju's highest peak with the Yao people and keep them hidden there. Keep everyone safe."
