THE OTHER SIDE
Jui hurriedly assisted him to the bed, assisting him to lie down in a comfortable position and covering him with a soft white blanket up to his waist when they arrived.
The second prince of the Yao clan gradually began to regain his easiness after repositioning his body in a more relaxing position, the color of his skin gradually returning to normal. The nausea and unpleasantness began to fade slightly.
Wei let out a shuddering, deep sigh to fully expel the unpleasant feeling that had lingered inside him, then drew his left hand closer to his face, staring at it for a moment. Then touched his forehead with an expression as if he had an unbearable headache, causing him to grit his teeth and escape a scoff sound out of his mouth.
He was both perplexed and frustrated. He was... loss.
'What does he want me to think and feel by telling me about such past events? What benefit does knowing such a thing have for me? What exactly does he want me to do? I don't get it! Why would he tell me such a thing? No, I don't want to comprehend!'
Emperor Fen's second son gritted his teeth tighter, causing his lower lip to tremble as he took a moment to ease the irritated and befuddled feeling that had invaded his space, body shivering from bitterness, clenching both his hands into a fist that now covered his eyes.
Until he remembered something that made him immediately stop thinking about everything that had just happened and pull his hands down to his sides, emotionless.
Right the boat that just arrived, my parents, and my elder brother... I need to pull myself together and not be distracted by anything that isn't part of my present. I need to concentrate.
Wei closes his eyes for a moment to clear his head before using it again with only one concern in mind. He slowly sat up and laid his body against the headboard, while his father's trusted trained disciple, who stood one step feet away from him, remained silent and patient, face straight and devoid of any curiosity about what had happened to their master second son earlier.
Jui simply stood beside him, staring straight at the wall, on guard and doing his job as a servant, waiting for their master to give order and demand. This made the second prince of the Yao clan smile and feel less worried about everything. Since his father's disciples are well-trained, it saves him from having to think about how to keep them in line and not lose control of their character.
Seeing them posture themselves to be ready at all times made Wei believe that if you told them to kill and sacrifice themselves, they would do it without hesitation or regret. His father is truly an amazing person; he has successfully raised so many young and senior disciples, but Wei knows it was not easy. The second prince of the Yao clan couldn't help but praise and be proud of his father.
"Jui," he called, and the young man beside him immediately turned to face him with respect.
"Yes, your highness?" the man responds.
"Assign the others to stand guard outside my chamber. I need you to return to where our people live, tell them about my reason for leaving early, tell them I was tired, and don't forget to inquire about the boat that had just arrived earlier from the first jade master of the cloud clan. You can let me know about it tomorrow. Bring a servant to help me dress properly tomorrow. I don't want to we—" Emperor Fen's second son paused for a moment, taking a slight glance at the cloud clan hanfu he was wearing frowning, before returning to Jui with a bright smile, but his eyes are devoid of emotion.
