PRICE OF PAPER
Wei felt the heavy wave wash over him, lifting the heavy weight he had been carrying since they arrived at the cloud clan away from his body, he now felt light and couldn't help but release a long relief sigh.
Closing his eyes and tilting his head up, the second prince of the Yao clan's face now appears less panicked and nervous as he speaks words of peace.
"Ah, that's a relief. I can now go out and meet our people without fear."
Mentioning their remaining people, Jui finally looked at him, the tension he had felt earlier finally dissipating; he was also relieved that their master second son could finally show himself to other people without worry or difficulty.
The emperor second son of the Yao clan had been hidden for so long that he, as a disciple and guard, was also saddened that such a young child had such a precarious fate from the moment it was born.
He couldn't fully relate to their master's second son situation, but he could fully relate to what such a young soul had gone through, and it was something that such a young child should not have had to go through at such a young age.
It was so lonely, suffocating, mentally damaging, and unfair that if it had been him, even if he was four years older, he could not survive such an environment, and he would have died long ago from the lack of warmth from your family.
He is grateful to have been born as a commoner into this world, with the high privilege of being a trusted senior disciple of the Yao clan.
Jui kept a gentle smile on his face as he waited for their master's second son to speak to him again, standing two meters away from the bed with no other intention than to protect and serve the second prince of the Yao clan.
Wei took a moment to savor the slight relief he now felt inside before opening his eyes again and asking another question.
"Where is the Cloud clan's first jade right now?"
"He's not with us right now. All of the cloud clan are not here right now, they're all gathering to the new peak of their clan," Jui responded quickly, his voice beginning to tingle with firmness, prompting Wei to look at him, sensing something was wrong.
"Did anything happen?"
Jui looked him in the eyes and shook his head.
"Nothing serious, just their young disciples scouting the higher up the mountain spotting the same large boat as our clan, heading to their hidden dock. So brother Xichen instructed all of their people to return and assemble to be ready to receive the arriving guest," he explained, and Wei nodded, sighing once more as he drew the blanket closer to his shoulder and moved his body to lie back at the bed comfortably, eyes closed for a blink moment and staring at the ceiling filled with expectation.
"It has to be my parents, my older brother, and master Woo. They must have arrived," he said, and Jui just nodded, feeling hopeful and excited to know who had just arrived earlier as well. He wanted to check it out, but his work as a protector is more important right now.
Wei let out another relaxed sigh, now feeling a drowsy sensation all over his body, his mind refusing to think any further, he now submitting to his exhaustion. He should not have done those things; what if his parents and older brother found out? They will be angry, but they will also be disappointed and blamed on themselves. Hays, he added another problem, his truly useless.
"I'll meet with our people later, Jui. Right now, all I want to do is sleep more. My body still felt heavy," Wei mentioned, and Jui immediately bowed, preparing to go and leave him alone in the room.
