I GOT YOU
Wei awoke the next day with an uneasy feeling around his neck. Frowning, he uses his right hand to check the source of the discomfort, only to come into contact with a rough solid fabric white silk that appeared to be tied around his neck, which surprised him.
Emperor Fen's son sat up abruptly in his bed, his wide eyes filled with worry, while his right hand continued to travel around his neck, touching something that looked like a cloth bandage neatly tied around his neck.
Until he inadvertently brushed the area where Master Woo's grandson had been bitten the day before, causing him to hiss from the sting and remember something that jolted him awake.
Wei quickly turned to his right and noticed that the person who had been with him had already left.
"He must have done this while I was still sleeping," He sigh and lay back down in his bed, caressing the cloth tied around his neck with his right hand, when a sudden thought of everything Lan Zhan had told him the other day disturbed him, turning his mood sour and ruining his morning.
He stared at the ceiling, thinking about everything until his mind became chaotic again, causing him to become frustrated.
To relieve his dissatisfaction and displeasure, Wei gritted his teeth and messed up his hair with both hands.
Even though it was early in the morning, I was already thinking about most everything! Is it necessary for us to face such difficulties? I believe it is completely unnecessary and unimportant. In any case, Hays.
'Did he get enough sleep the other day?' He thought, concerned, when a familiar voice rang outside his chamber, jolting him out of his reverie and causing him to turn to look at the sliding door, which was still closed in panic.
It's Jui! I can't let him see my neck looking like this!
He jumped out of bed and searched his drawer for the silk Jiang Cheng had given him the day they arrived at the cloud clan, wrapping it around his neck and covering the white clothed that tied underneath.
"You are welcome to come in," he said, sighing contentedly as he moved beside the table, a welcoming smile on his face.
His father's trusted disciple then opened the sliding door, now dressed in the cloud clan's long sleeve hanfu.
He was about to greet Jui when he noticed him with an observant expression and a stern look at his neck. This made Wei feel uneasy, but he remained calm and smiling as if he hadn't noticed anything wrong on the outside.
"Are Mingming and Koko already waiting outside?" He asks, firmly wearing his usual calm demeanor, and Emperor Fen disciple nods, his gaze now fixed on him, but a hint of curiosity can still be seen.
"I see, what a fantastic timing, let them in now. I'm also hungry," he demands and Jui simply nods again before leaving the room, closing the sliding door behind him, carrying the unresolved concern inside him.
Emperor Fen's second son couldn't help but feel relieved when he saw him leave in silence. It's a good thing he didn't ask any questions as he might have ended up telling lies, which was not his expertise.
He must not reveal what happened the other day as he knows it will be reported to his parents and brother if they arrive here, causing an issue that could lead to a problem between them and the cloud clan, which he does not want to happen.
As long as he had the strength and the solution, he would do anything to keep it hidden, believing that small things can sometimes become larger because people have different perspectives and understanding of things.
