TASTELESS
After nearly one minute, the twin sibling could no longer remain still, feeling unsettled and worried. They've been in the same place for too long, and they're afraid that if they don't move soon, their prince, the star of the banquet today, will be late, which is bad.
Mingming and Koko couldn't help but feel impatient as they stared at each other, until one of them decided to distract the unexplained atmosphere around them.
"Prince Wei?" Mingming called out to Emperor Fen's second son a little louder, drawing Jui's attention to him, whose eyes immediately glanced towards their prince, and saw this finally had a reaction.
He sighed, relieved to see that his master's second son had finally snapped out of his daze.
Seeing his childhood friend being kissed on the hallway by that woman Princess Ding caught him off guard and turned him stiff cold, until his heart became heavy.
After that, he didn't know what face he had, since an intense feeling of anger mixed with jealousy had wrapped him had already isolated him from thinking about anything else, making him look like a different person.
Wei couldn't figure out why he was feeling such strong emotions inside him, as if he wanted to snatch Lan Zhan from that woman and kiss him himself; just imagining it made his body shiver with intense excitement, as well as his heart and mind throb with unexplainable pleasure.
No, that's not right; he couldn't possibly do something so heinous... Could he?
Emperor Fen's second son was lost in thought for quite some time, until a worried but familiar tone of voice rang behind his back, yanking him out of his reverie and snapping him back into reality.
Releasing a deep breath, he felt like he'd been splashed with cold water as he became sober and realized he wasn't alone. Jui and the twins are with him; how could he have forgotten?
The second prince of Yao clan couldn't help but feel a headache rush through him; how could he have been so careless as to let this emotion consume him as if he were easy to get and defeat?
'Curse it! It's his fault!' He blamed Lan Zhan, who was still being kissed by Princess Ding.
Why would he be moved by seeing that woman kiss his childhood friend?
Yes, he knows, he knows exactly who that two is. No one else is married and a couple in a cloud clan, he's not stupid. Fuck it! I hate this! I hate it! This is not me, and I dislike it! I shouldn't feel this way, think this way, like I'm jealous and want to... Want to...
No! He's my friends! I only consider him a friend! How could I, how could I, why would I...
No, I don't want to think about it any longer. I'm scared, I'm scared, I don't want to feel this way, I'm being selfish, it's wrong! Wrong! But why would I...
Wei began to feel more confused and frustrated on the inside, but the thought of three people who were currently with him caused him to stop thinking and feel relief.
Right, I have them with me, I forgot about them again.
The second prince of the Yao clan gritted his teeth and closed his eyes for a few moments to calm his chaotic state of mind, silently inhaling and exhaling until he had finally found his inner peace, unaware that his father disciple was watching him the entire time.
Jui was alarmed by their prince's unusual behavior; he had promised his master that he would always protect and be there for their prince, but seeing the emperor's second son act out of character made him feel as if he had not fill his promise, he had no idea why.
Well, he's just a guard, not a therapist or anything, but this feeling of worry truly bothers him, and he can't help but wonder what caused their prince's change in behavior.
Is his theory correct? Did he really like the woman who is currently kissing the second jade of the cloud clan? But, it will be a taboo. He can't get that woman pregnant since he, too, was born to be a receiver.
Yes, he is aware, as are all members of the Yao clan. When Wei was three years old, his father, the Emperor, educated and informed his subjects about him.
Jui wanted to ask and console their prince, but the other person didn't give him a chance, turning around flawlessly, staring at the twin, and smiling.
"I'm sorry, I got a little space out," he apologized.
When he finally acknowledged them and smiled at them, the twin sibling couldn't help but feel relieved and think that perhaps they were overthinking things and that nothing was truly wrong.
"It's all right, Prince Wei," Mingming replied, smiling. Wei nods at him before turning to face his father disciple, who is still watching his every move.
"Jui," he called, causing Emperor Fen's trusted disciple to flinch and refocus like a firm guard.
"Yes?" He responds dutifully.
"Use your spiritual power to guide us past those two people without disturbing them. We can't afford to distract them doing their inconsiderate business on the hallway as it will embarrass the hell out of them, which isn't good since it will be awkward for all of us too, so," As he said these words, his face stiffened and became expressionless, looking cold and stone, but he was unaware of it, the only person who was aware is his father disciple.
A person who didn't want to think about things anymore and just decided to do the task that was assigned to him, believing that a servant should only do the task and not pry into their master's business.
If his master son wants him to know something, he will accept it; if their second prince does not want him to know what is going on around him, he has no choice but to remain silent and let nature do its work.
It's also advantageous to him as it will provide him with peace of mind, but his heart was still concerned. Screw it, let's just stop thinking about it and get on with the job.
To be continued.
