ACHING SOUL
Lan Zhan finally looks at his closed sliding door, his eyes bothered as his visitor's footsteps fade away.
All of this could be attributed to his carelessness, but he did not foresee it. He is not an idiot, well, when it comes to his Wei Ying, he is, but when it comes to the other matter, he is an expert.
He is aware that he is responsible for a small portion of this incident, but the majority of it is the fault of Princess Ding, his ex-wife.
True, he didn't know how to confront the second prince of the Yao clan, but that won't stop him from seeing the person for whom his heart has long yearned, even now that he is no longer bound by marriage.
Wanji took a deep breath full of lightness, his shoulder finally felt light, and his heart overflowed with excitement. He can finally express his feelings for the person he loves; there are no limits.
Now that he knows why all of this devastation began, all he has to do is pull out the roots and kill the person who started it with his hand, but first, he needed to see Emperor Fen's second son.
Whatever Wei thinks of him right now, he will accept it wholeheartedly as long as it does not intrude on his wish to have him fully in his life.
But what if Wei Ying didn't want to see him and never wanted to see him again...?
Lan Zhan frowns, unconsciously clenching his left fist before abruptly rising from his seat. Dissatisfied with his thoughts, he rushes out of his chamber and towards his elder brother's residence, where the Yao sibling is located.
When he arrived, an image of the displeased first prince of the Yao clan met him immediately, as they now faced each other with only three steps between them.
"What are you doing here?" Jiang Cheng asks, his voice calm and collected, but his face reveals his disapproval and discomfort.
Earlier, when his younger brother arrived, he noticed this with a complicated expression and sensed something was wrong. He approached him to inquire, and Wei immediately drew him inside the guest room, where he learned the reason.
Turns out the second jade of the cloud and his younger brother had long known each other without his knowledge, and the reason their clan had faced unbearable inhalation was due to the Jeng clan's daughter's selfish desire to have the person she loved all to herself.
This leads him to believe that everything began to fall apart when Master Woo's second grandson entered his younger brother's life. Sure, Wei Ying had told him and convinced him that it was not this person's fault, but his heart still believes he is partly to blame for their loss of everything.
"What? Have you come to see my younger brother? I can't let you do that; he requests that I keep you away from him from now on; he doesn't want to see you; you should return to where you came from," Jiang Cheng said, but Lan Zhan just stood there, not blinking, reacting, or moving, just staring at him with a straight face.
"Do not worry, once I heal, my younger brother and I will leave your clan and I will find a way to pay your clan back, for all the things you all help to us," He added, and Wanji finally reacted, clenching his right hand and feeling a rising anger inside of him as the displeasure he felt earlier came rushing through him again.
"You can't take Wei with you," he said, his voice deep with a threat.
"Or what?" Jiang Cheng asks, his face contorted with mockery and arrogance.
"You're going to kill me? Ha! Look at the person who took everything from us; sensing a strong Qi approaching our residence, I knew it would be you, so I put my brother away before you could lure him to you, poisoned his mind again with your flowery words, and took everything he had left inside him,"
"Where's Wei Ying?" Lan Zhan replied, ignoring the words of the Yao clan's first prince, his face no longer calm, but picturing the disturbed sea with big waves and strong winds, he couldn't stay calm knowing that Wei is truly blaming him for losing their clan and his parents like his elder brother right now and truly didn't want to see him anymore.
He needs to see him and speak with him. He will not let himself lose him again this time.
I'm not going to let it happen.
"Take me to him," he implored, his face contrite and his voice finally trembling with panic.
Jiang Cheng looks at him, his brows knitted together, offended, and says.
"It truly is true that the second jade of the cloud clan is rude, the person in front of you has the blood of royalty but since the beginning, you didn't greet him with respect and even ignore his words. Did your clan fail to instill proper respect in its members? What a let-down."
"A-Cheng!" Wei's voice rang out from behind him, causing him to turn around and glare at his younger brother, who was now rushing over to them.
"I told you not to come out from your chamber!" He yells in frustration, about to stride over to his younger brother to stop it from approaching them, but he senses the movement of the other behind him.
He immediately summons his spiritual sword and points it squarely at the throat of the cloud clan's second jade.
"Don't ever think of going over to my younger brother," he warned, his voice vehement.
"This is not right, A-Cheng; lay down your sword! You said you already get what I'm saying? Why are you acting like this now? Put down your sword right now, or else..." Wei pleaded, reaching his right hand towards Jiang Cheng's left hand, which was holding the sharp object close to Lan Zhan's throat, preventing it from doing what it wanted.
"Otherwise, what?" Jiang Cheng reacted harshly, making Wei frown and feel unheard.
He moved over to Lan Zhan's side and switched positions, his elder brother's sword now on his throat.
"Do it, you want to hurt people, don't you? Do it to relieve your rage. DO IT!" Wei yelled.
Jiang Cheng was taken aback as it was the first time he had seen his younger brother react in this manner, and it made him feel sober.
To be continued.
