ABSENCE OF LONGINGNESS

He pulls away from Master Woo's grandson, yawns, and stretches both arms before turning to face the person who has called for him.

"Jui? Great! You found us," Wei said, his face bright with joy as he smiled, relieved to see his father's trusted disciple was safe and had caught up to them.

He was about to jump down to get to his father disciple, but Lan Zhan didn't let him go, instead tightening his grip on him even more.

"Lan Zhan," The second jade of cloud clan says, his voice firm and his face cold, his eyes sharply pointing straight at the uninvited visitor who had just arrived at their location.

"Huh?" Wei looked at him, puzzled, not understanding what he was saying.

"Call me Lan Zhan," Master Woo's grandson said clearly.

"Ahhh, okay, okay. Can you put me down now, Lan Zhan?" The prince of the Yao clan inquired, but the second jade of the cloud clan did not respond, leaving the other person perplexed once more.

"Lan Zhan?" Prince Wei called out to him, worried and nervous that this person would do something unpredictable again, when this suddenly began walking, heading towards the person who appeared tired and was still adjusting his breath.

Emperor Fen's second son couldn't help but feel sorry for his father disciple seeing him in such a state; he didn't mean to make the other suffer today. His goal was to check the boat that their clan owned with him for some in formation, but things turned out differently.

Wei felt stress encircling him. He put his right hands into the chest of the person who was holding him and looked him in the eyes, face straight and serious.

"Lan Zhan, you must now put me down. This is inappropriate as you are already married. Other people may misinterpret us if they see us like this. It will be detrimental to your wife's reputation. You put me down now," he begged, his eyes showing discomfort and dissatisfaction.

This caused the other to stop walking and become irritated; he didn't want to think about that woman while he was with him, but he was right.

Having no control over the situation. Lan Zhan simply gritted his teeth, nodded, and gently let go of him. Emperor Fen son breathed a sigh of relief and straightened up before joyfully running over to his father trusted disciple.

"Jui, are you okay?" Wei asks, his voice tingling with apology as he moves his gaze down and up, checking his father disciple physical condition. Jui gave him a smile and a nod before responding.

"There is no need for His Highness to be concerned. This servant is fine; brother Jun only used a small amount of spiritual power on me. We should return right now. It's not good for you to be seen outside for too long," He suggested, and Wei nodded guiltily, relieved that his father disciple wasn't hurt.

Emperor Fen's second son positioned himself beside his trusted disciples, whose right arm is now tightly circling his waist, securing him not to fall as they leap back inside Mount Moju, but before they could leave, his son turned to the side for a few moments to say goodbye to the person who ruined their plan for today.

"Lan Zhan, we'll go first, and please don't do such a careless thing again. Don't worry, I'll forget what happened today," he assured him with a genuine smile.

His words left the other person speechless and in bewilderment. He didn't mean it that way; he didn't want him to forget what had happened, he...

Lan Zhan began to panic, he was about to respond, but it was too late; the two people had already flown away from where he stood. His gaze followed them and noticed how close they were to each other.

He shuddered from unfairness and jealousy when he saw such a view. Wanji began to experience uncontrollable rage, his breath quickened, and his face finally revealed his true feelings. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth more tightly, causing his lips to tremble.

The second jade of the cloud clan gradually lost control of his emotions, bursting forth his spiritual power and slicing down all the tall trees around him, but he felt no pity or regret. Instead, he continues to slash them all down with his sword of spiritual power in order to relieve his rage and jealousy.

This went on for hours, causing the birds to flee into the sky in fear, while crying out in terror as their homes were destroyed, until a gentle and caring tone of voice rang out five meters away from him.

"Wanji, you must stop now or the entire forest will be torn apart,"

Lan Zhan followed, stopped what he was doing and turned around, only to see his elder brother wearing a concerned expression.

Lan Xichen approached him and was about to wipe the sweat from his brow with his white handkerchief, which he had hidden inside his hanfu, when his younger brother harshly refused his kindness.

His brother, who was panting heavily and sweating profusely, looked at him with a glare, his body still unsatisfied and angry. Xichen couldn't help but sigh deeply, feeling worry for his younger brother.

He had no idea why Wanji had lost control of himself; it was the first time he had seen him this angry, and he was overwhelmed. This is not healthy or beneficial to him.

"Wanji, you used a lot of your spiritual power today; why are you acting so carelessly? What happened?" He asks softly, with consideration for his younger brother.

If it hadn't been for the young disciples of their clan who went patrolling around the area, this tenacious brother of his would have collapsed from overuse of his spiritual power. Master Woo first grandson felt frustrated, but he never showed it and remained calm.

"Wanji?" He calls out, expecting his brother to respond, but the other person simply ignores him, returning his sword to its sheath and passing through him.

"Wait!" He demanded firmly, and his brother do came to a halt on his path. Xichen turned around and spoke up.

"I saw your wife waiting for you outside her gate palace for too long earlier; if I hadn't seen her, she would have fallen ill with fever again. You made a promise to her that you would accompany her today, and you must keep it. You've been careless today; I'm not sure why, but I hope I never have to deal with a situation like this again. Understand? Go fix yourself to the waterfalls and come back sober. "

Lan Zhan clicked his tongue and leapt away, still full of rage. His elder brother words only made his feelings and mood worst.

Seeing his younger brother's silhouette fade away in the wind. Lan Xichen couldn't help but sigh deeply in disappointment. His words were intended to teach his younger brother about the mistakes he had made today in nearly destroying the forest habitat, but they came across as scolding; he had been misunderstood again.
