STEEM'S VOICES
"Emperor Fen! Empress Vie sent the spiritual arrow earlier with a letter saying that the messenger to the other wings sent words that the fifteen people who had been injured had now escaped and were now safe," the guards delivered, standing in front of him with the five enhance disciples.
"That's good to hear; where are they now?" he asked, relieved.
"The empress stated in the letter that General Gao, as well as our other twenty-six enhanced young disciples and injured people, are now on their way to the Cloud clan as well,"
"What? But if they go there, the other clans will also surge into the cloud clan, and they will know my son Wei is there!" Emperor Fen exclaimed, frustrated and worried. He immediately called back his spirit bird, calling it by its given name, and Yoyo appeared in front of him like a ghost, carefully flapping his wings.
The royal man stares straight at his bird as he extends his right hand to touch his bird's head, emitting a pink violet color that enters Yoyo feathers.
The emperor of Yao erected an impenetrable barrier to prevent their opponent from noticing his spirit bird as it flew high above the sky.
"Yoyo," he addressed as he drew his hand back to his side, a force smile coursing through him and a face filled with uncertainty as if this was the last time they would see each other.
Yoyo simply nodded, he didn't need to explain why he summoned him again, they were already connected by a sealing bond, his bird spirit already knew what he felt and thought.
Emperor Fen took out his feather yarn bracelet, which bound a contract sealed connected to Yoyo, and securely tied it to his bird feet. Yoyo just stared at him, head tilted to the side, as if he couldn't understand his master's actions, then brought his head closer to his master's forehead. Eyes closed, as if saying thank you or goodbye.
The emperor also connected his brow to him, closing his eyes as if praying about something and pulled back with a grateful smile on his lips.
"Thank you for everything, Yoyo; please look after my son Wei on my behalf."
Yoyo, who had already opened his eyes, looked straight at him for a moment before bowing his head again and flying away along the surging and filthy wind filled with the scent of blood.
Emperor Fen watched him fly away above the sky, full of hope and faith, before returning his gaze to his people standing beside him.
"How about the Empress and my first son? Are they on the boat with general Gao as well?" he inquired, hoping that they were indeed on board and out of danger.
"No, Empress Vie insisted on returning to you with Prince Jiang, and according to the messengers outside the other wing, they are now on their way to our location,"
"WHAT? NO! We are already surrounded; they will not be able to pass through the first wing's entrance gate without being killed! SEND AN EMERGENCY SIGNAL TO THE SKY AND TELL EVERYONE TO GO BACK TO THE CENTER WINGS IMMEDIATELY! FASTER! "
Saying so, his people immediately do what he asks, leaving only those in charge of the surging battle on the ground. Emperor Fen's heart pounded with anxiety and fear.
The other clan now rules over the first wing of their palace, and they are currently in the second wing. To get through the second wing, you must first get through the first!
If Empress Vie and her son, Jiang Cheng, want to return to the kingdom, they are committing suicide.
'No! NO!'
Emperor Fen began to tremble. He began to feel weak as he considered his wife and son being on the verge of a crisis.
All of his people who guarded the palace's first wing are already dead! So his son and wife are in grave danger if he does not return to the first wing right away.
His wife had practiced cultivation and increased her spiritual power for many years, but she was not strong enough to overcome the strength of the other clans, and their first son was no better.
Jiang Cheng has yet to discover his inner strength, so he can only rely on his martial arts technique and a sliver of his spiritual core, which could only mean they are not fully prepared for a close battle and will most likely die.
"HURRY UP! SIGNALED NOW! ALL RETREAT BACK TO THE FIRST WING! AND CIRCLED ALL THE HIGHER UPS!" Emperor Fen yelled in panic as he rushed outside their camp, his eyes signaling everyone to be ready to go to the battle field immediately.
'I can't, I can't lose them. I CAN'T!'
"LET US GO!" He yelled firmly as he rode his swords alongside his powerfully trained disciples.
"Father..." Wei called in hushed tones, his voice dried and exhausted, heart beating with anxiety and fear as he dreamed of his family. He tried to open his eyes, but his body seemed to resist, and all he could see was complete darkness.
Did he died? Or just unconscious, Wei was still not fully conscious, until he heard a hurried breath closer to him. Is he being carried by someone? Who? Who is carrying him?
Wei brow furrowed in discomfort as he thought.
'This deep but soothing breath feels familiar,'
The second prince of Yao clan kept running his thoughts while also attempting to command his body to wake up, move, and open his eyes, but it was futile. He was exhausted, tired, and drained of energy.
'No, I need to see them. I need to wake up. My parents and brother...'
"Sto... I... my..." Wei managed to speak through his fatigue, but his words were muddled, and the person who was carrying him in bride style had heard him.
"I'm here, just sleep, everything will be fine," the man replies, examining Wei's face with his eyes and noticing fresh tears escape to the second prince of Yao clan eyelids and flow to his cheeks.
The man comes to a halt and draws the other person's face closer to his neck.
"I'm sorry for being late, Wei Ying, but now I'm here and I'll protect you from now on, sleep for now. Your safe here, no one will harm you, I assure you," Lan Zhan said, his voice tinged with regret and repentance, his face in distress as he gently cradled Emperor Fen second son in his warm arms, providing comfort and a soothing embrace.
Wei heard his voice and words but had no idea what they meant. He's too tired and sleepy to care or think any further. Emperor Fen's second son could no longer fight the fatigue that was bursting within him and succumbed to the complete darkness, falling silently asleep into Lan Zhan's arms.
