NOBLE BLOOD
Why would I assume that the man he dreamed about is me, when there are so many men in this world? I'm not the most important and special person in his life, like the man in his dream... Why am I pitying myself? Curse it!
Wei clenched his left hand into a fist under his long white hanfu, unpleased as he maintained his calm demeanor in front of his guest.
"I see. Thank you for bringing these items to me, Sizhui. Jui, take it from him and bring it inside," he said, and his father's disciples quickly followed suit.
"Wait!" Sizhui looked at them awkwardly, embarrassed as he accidentally raised his voice, which he didn't mean.
He was just worried that Emperor Fen disciple had immediately taken the two items to him; his task was not yet completed, and he still had something to say.
So the two Yao people turned to face him, their gaze fixed on him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice; it's just, I'm still not done giving words," he said, which made Wei feel strangely at ease and smile; odd, why was this young man able to calm him? That's unusual.
This had never happened to him before, and it was the first time that other people he barely knew made him feel soothing. He couldn't help but feel suspicious, but that suspension vanished quickly, and it was replaced by a sense of familiarity. He had a hunch that he knew or had met this young man before, but he couldn't remember when or how, how strange.
The second prince of the Yao clan approached him, gently caressed his head with his right hand, and said.
"It's okay, sorry, I asked my guard to take the two items away from you right away, you can go ahead and say what you want to say last,"
Sizhui's eyes follow him as his hand continues to caress his head, and the young man cannot help but blush when he sees his peerless white smooth porcelain skin and his beautiful smile, which gives a warm feeling similar to when the sun touches your skin, which is satisfying and comfortable.
'He's truly stunning, just like everyone said, ha? Wait, what am I looking at?'
The young man flinches, realizing what he was doing, he looks away, stare down into his hanfu shoes, and sharply nods while trying not to show his flustered expression towards the beautiful man in front of him.
Unaware that his every move was being watched by the person in front of him, Emperor Fen second let out a silent chuckle. How adorable.
"Um, Brother Lan Xichen said that Prince Wei should not touch the yellow string or the array, but he can look since these things are still being carefully examined. He also suspects that the Hu clan may have scribbled something on it, so..."
"I understand; don't worry; we'll be cautious. You go ahead now, thanks again," Wei replied before Sizhui could finish his sentence, then turned around to return to his room with Jui, who had been standing beside him the entire time.
Sizhui let out a relieved sigh and stride away after seeing the two people return to the room and close the sliding door.
Turning to the right side of the hall, the young man noticed an adult man dressed in a high-ranking white hanfu who had been waiting for him the entire time. He smiled and stride closer to the man saying.
"Hangguang Jun. I've already given it to him along with the instruction."
Wanji nods, raising his left hand to caress Sizhui's head as a compliment for doing an excellent job delivering the two items to Wei that his elder brother had assigned to him, but he delegated it to the other person .
For the time being, he does not wish to confront Emperor Fen's second son. He still felt the aftermath inside, and he didn't know what he would do if he saw that man beside Wei again; he can't afford to lose control of his spiritual power again, which was severely depleted.
After delivering the two items, the two cloud clan members returned to their respective palaces and resumed their daily plan routine.
Back inside the chamber of the Yao clan's second prince. Two people are currently sitting in the opposite wooden chair, closely inspecting the two items that the young man named Sizhui had just delivered to them.
Wei felt relieved and assured after seeing the two items he mentioned to the first jade of the cloud clan.
'He's not lying, good,' he thought, please and contented, rising from his chair and striding over to his bed.
"Jui, bring it back to them right away. It's sufficient for me to see that there is proof. I can finally stop doubting them," he said, standing beside his wooden bed.
Emperor Fen disciple also stood up from his chair and bowed to him before closing the sliding door and leaving to complete the second task.
As his father disciple left, the chamber fell silent again, and a pleasant feeling enveloped him. He sat on his bed and looked around the room, eventually ending up at the open sliding window, where the breeze could freely enter, giving him a peaceful feeling both inside and outside his body.
His thoughts were quiet and empty, this surprised him. Ever since he arrived at the cloud clan, all he had been doing is thinking, worrying, and being anxious for the safety of everyone who had been very daring to him that he had forgotten to consider himself.
This was the first time his mind had let him rest, he didn't ask for it; his mind did it voluntarily, and he enjoys it; he wishes the peace could last longer, but he knows it's only temporary.
Nothing lasts forever anyway, everything changes and withers. It is a requirement of nature for others to have the opportunity to live the life we have today. It's a cycle we can't break and must obey as it is what we've believed and learned to live for our entire lives, until our time comes to pass. Nothing will remain the same, except our memories, which will range from happy to sad.
At least, that's what he learned after years of being isolated from other people and outsiders. Wei's eyes began to flutter as he considered this. He leaned back in his bed and promptly fell asleep.
To be continued.
