WHERE YOU'RE EYES LINGER

Emperor Fen disciple looked him in the eyes and nodded, the two now sitting on opposite sides of the wood chair in front of the table, discussing some serious business that Lan Xichen had told Jui the other day.

"Are you saying that the boat that arrived the day before was empty?" Wei inquires, dissatisfied with his father disciple's explanation.

"Yes, brother Xichen told me that they also found no talisman or anything strange being placed on the boat. They're still investigating the area through the dock as well as the boat right now for assurance," Jui replied, which caused the second son of Emperor Fen to focus his mind on the matter, eyes drowned to the table, feeling suspicious and unsettled.

He can't shake the feeling that something is missing or isn't quite right. Why would the arriving boat become empty? What method did it use to sail itself? Unless it had a control talisman on it. But Jui explains to me that the cloud clan disciple did not see any talisman or feel any control spell that was placed on the boat. Strange...

His gut instinct is telling him that something isn't right. He needed to see the boat for himself in order to inspect it and finally feel at ease.

The room fell silent for a long time until Emperor Fen second son decided to stand up from his chair and say.

"Are we also allowed to explore the area?"

His father disciple looks at him for a moment, digesting his words, then nods.

"Great! Take me to the location of the boat. I want to see it for myself," he says.

"As you wish, your highness," Jui replied, accepting his master second son's request and rising from his seat.

"But his highness must remain close to me at all times," he added, and Wei couldn't help but chuckle, almost like a playful laugh.

He walked over to his father's trusted disciple, clung his left arm to the other person's shoulder, smiled almost smirking, and replied.

"Of course! But first, I'm going to greet our remaining people a wonderful morning."

He winks before pushing himself away from his father disciple, who skips a long sigh and smile, relieved to see their master second son's cheerful demeanor return, prompting him to wish that the peace they are experiencing in this place right now would last longer. But he knows it's impossible seeing as their emperor and empress have yet to arrive, along with their first born son.

'I hope they're safe and sailing to get here,' Jui prayed, as he looked straight at the person who was now striding out of the room, full of gleeful aura, while being tailed behind by him.

The two of them are now walking silently side by side, but the surroundings are peaceful and comfortable.

Wei couldn't help but wander his eyes along the area as they passed through different paths, feeling novel and unfamiliar with everything that had been placed inside the place.

'Everything is different here,'

This made him miss their home, which was most likely destroyed and turned to dust, as a result his pleasant mood was ruined once more. Wei immediately stopped thinking to prevent the negativity from spreading within him.

He still needed to meet with their people, and he needed to keep this cheerful mood under control, the second prince of the Yao clan tilted his head up to the sky, looking for an escape so he wouldn't feel any worse on the inside.

The sun has now fully risen, revealing the peaceful blue ocean color above them; such a soft view made him feel calm and relaxed. A gentle breeze brushed across his face, causing him to close his eyes and smile, restoring his bright full mood.

"Young highness, we have arrived," Jui distracted him, forcing him to open his eyes again and look back at the front, only to see that they had indeed arrived at the location where their people had sought refuge.

"Let's go," he said, and his father disciple followed.

Wei takes five minutes to greet and speak with their remaining people before saying goodbye and proceeding to the current peak of the cloud clan.

On their way to the palace, all the young and some senior disciples in charge of field work and maintenance couldn't help but look and greet the second prince of the Yao clan, their eyes filled with curiosity, eagerness, admiration, friendliness, and surprise as they saw him with white silver hair that glows like soft white feathers when the light of the sun touches it.

In their eyes, Wei appears to be an ethereal being who has descended into the world, his skin is whitely fragile and soft like cotton, and he shines like an unreachable person. It drew people's attention to him and gave them an obsessive desire to be close to him, while others were envious of his unique beauty.

Emperor Fen's second son had felt their stares and dagger eyes filled with curiosity, but they all ignored him; he didn't put his mind to it and simply walked, greeting those who greeted him.

But his father's trusted disciple, on the other hand, couldn't stand their sticky eyes, so Jui looked to his left and noticed some young disciple who kept staring at their second prince.

He cast a spiritual spell that drew their full attention to him; once he had their full attention, Emperor Fen disciple then gave them eyes that spoke warning; all the cloud disciples in the field and on the path immediately jerked their gaze away from them and resumed their work.

"Pft! Hahahahahahahaha," Wei's surprised outburst disrupted the air's tension and perplexed his father disciple as well as all the cloud disciples in the area.

The second prince of the Yao clan comes to a halt beside him.

"Your highness?" Emperor Fen disciple call out to him, puzzled by his behavior.

"Jui, can you fly us over to the location of the boat instead? I'm tired walking," their second prince suggested unexpectedly, showing him a calm smile that made him nod without hesitation; he also thinks that is a very good option. Prince Wei father's trusted disciples held his waist, securing him tightly into his arms and leaping out.

Seeing them finally leave, all the disciples of the cloud clan that were on that area immediately released a relief sigh and spoke their minds out loudly through their sworn brothers, causing the person who happened to pass through their path with light steps become curious and stop walking, listening to them as they talk keeping his presence unnoticed to them all.

Until something trigging escapes their sentence, prompting the individual wearing a prestigious long sleeve hanfu of cloud clan to also immediately leap away in order to catch up to the two people that all those young disciples were discussing, frowning and feeling displeased inside.
