What did that boy think? Did he really believe that the two of them could be friends? That was just absurd. Byakuya Togami doesn't just make friends. They have to earn it. The only reason why he even let Chihiro sit next to him was to humour the smaller boy. He had hoped that with his encouragement the boy would tell everyone his secret and then there wouldn't be anything special between them. That was the only reason. Not because he knew how it felt to be underestimated. Not because he saw a part of his younger, childlike self in the other boy. And definitely not because Chihiro somehow reminded him of her.

Byakuya took a deep breath. He had no time for these thoughts. There was a new floor to explore and this time he wouldn't be followed. Not by Toko or Chihiro. He was all alone, just like he wanted.

The first thing that Byakuya came across on the third floor was a classroom. There was a small sign next to it that said '3-A'. The classroom itself wasn't anything special, the only thing that differentiated it from the other classrooms that he had seen so far was the drawing on the chalkboard. It had three Monokuma's in the middle, with the words 'Despair Squadron' on the left and 'Monokuma' on the right. It was obviously made by Monokuma. Byakuya left the classroom quickly after that.

Classroom 3-B was the same. It had a different drawing on the chalkboard, but nothing else that made it seem different from the other classrooms.

The next room Byakuya came across was the rec room. Just like the classrooms it had a sign that held it's name. The inside was much more interesting than the insides of the classrooms. In the middle of the room stood a pool table. On the right was a dartboard and a magazine rack. There was also a checkerboard and some sort of gamble machine. After a quick look around the room, Byakuya left.

Just as Byakuya went to open the door to the next room, Hifumi walked out. Without even looking at him, Byakuya walked into the room. Byakuya wasn't going to waste any of his time on Hifumi of all people.

As Byakuya looked around, it was made clear why Hifumi was in this room. This was the art room. The room looked like any ordinary art room that you would find in a school. It had a few tables in the front and a sculpture near the back that was surrounded by canvases. There were also two other sculptures on the left and the right. There also was a Monokuma statue. If it weren't for the camera in the room, Byakuya would have accidentally knocked it over.

After looking around some more and finding nothing of importance, Byakuya went to the door in the back. It went to a much smaller room. The room looked to be some sort of supply room, with the room almost only having art supplies. The only things worth of his interest were the hammers hanging from the wall and the other art supplies on the left of the hammers. All of these items could easily be used for a murder. Unfunctionally, those items were the only interesting things in the room, so Byakuya left.

On his way to the next room on the floor, Byakuya passed another gated staircase. It would likely open up after another trial.

The last room was the physics room. Unlike all of the other classrooms, this looked more like something you would find at a lab, not a school. Taka was also in the room, Byakuya just gave a nod of acknowledgement and continued on, not wanting to have a conversation with him.

There was also a huge machine in the middle of the room. While there were also a lot of other machines in the room, this one looked different. Almost out of place, like it was placed later...

"Interesting..." Byakuya said to himself.

"It is! Monokuma said it was an air purifier! Though I am not sure why we would need one!" Taka said, almost shouting.

"Hmm." Was all the heir said in response.

There wasn't anything else interesting in the room, but, just like the art room, it had a door in the back connecting to another room.

After a quick look, Byakuya deduced that it was the equipment room, although it was super disorganised. Not to mention the chemical smell...

The room itself had nothing interesting, just ordinary science equipment. So, Byakuya left the room and went back to the dining hall, to meet up with everyone else. While he despised meeting up with everyone, they might have noticed something that he didn't, how improbable that is.

Byakuya took his usual seat in the dining hall, while the others slowly all arrived. Hina was the last on to arrive.

"Now that we are all here, we should talk about what we found!" Taka said.

Hina was the first to speak up.

"Um, I wasn't able to help much with the investigation, but...I did make one discovery. It's about the nurse's office! The one on the first floor."

"I remember. But it's locked." Sakura said.

"Actually...not anymore."

Interesting, looks like there was something he missed.

The two girls had a conversation after that, though Byakuya couldn't be bothered to listen.

Byakuya began listening again when Kyoko spoke up.

"There was a rather remarkable physics lab on the third floor. In the middle of the room, there was a machine bigger than anything I've ever seen before..."

"Oh yeah, apparently it's an air purifier."

So, Taka was right.

"Huh? What's something like that doing there?"

"Is the device really that big?"

"I... really don't get it."

The rest of the so-called meeting went like that, somebody would talk about on of the rooms and others would comment on it. At one point there was something about a camera, however that was the only thing Byakuya didn't know about. Since there was no new information, Byakuya couldn't be bothered to listen and just thought about all the things he could have been doing instead of being here. Like reading. Or just anything else. He was fairly sure they were talking about a picture right now, although he had no idea how a picture could be useful.

Just as Byakuya went to leave, Mondo stopped him.

"What is it, plankton?"

"What did you do to Chihiro?" Mondo asked, incredibly angry for some reason

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't try to act innocent! The two of you were talkin' and then she started cryin' and you just walked away."

"Oh. That. The only thing I told her is the truth. It's not my fault she can't accept that." With that Byakuya walked out of the room, leaving an angry Mondo behind.

Really? Is that what Mondo being mad about? How is it his fault that Chihiro is so naïve. The only thing he did is tell the other boy the truth.
