"Of course, you would say somethin' like that," Mondo said, glaring at Byakuya.

Byakuya didn't even spare the biker a glance. Instead, he resumed talking.

"While I was investigating with Hina, I found something very... impeaching," Byakuya said, grabbing something out of one of the pockets in his pants.

At a closer look, Chihiro could see it was a piece of paper with something written on it, though he couldn't make out exactly what. He could see that the handwriting was a bit messy.

"I found this letter addressed to Makoto in his room. it says to meet him in the art classroom and was obviously made by the murderer," Byakuya said, focusing his gaze on Kyoko as he said the last part.

"I fail to see how that could be incriminating in any way," Kyoko retorted, looking right back at Byakuya who smirked in response.

"I was hoping you would say that" Byakuya began, the smirk on his face growing. "it is incriminating because it had a name written at the end. Your name to be exact."

"Wha- Byakuya! I thought that-"

Before Hina could finish her sentence, Byakuya cut her off.

"Quiet. I would like to hear what Kyoko has to say in response," Byakuya commanded, his signature smirk still present on his face.

"Well, just because it has my name on it, doesn't mean I did it."

"That's a weak retort and you know it. I would have thought that you of all people would have prepared something better."

"I don't have anything else to say. I didn't write the note. The handwriting is nothing like my own."

"And how would we know that? We have no idea what's your handwriting is like," Byakuya countered, a challenging look in his eyes.

"A-actually I do," Chihiro began. "While we were in the art classroom, she wrote something down if I remember correctly."

Kyoko's eyes widened ever so slightly at that and Byakuya looked almost glad that he may be proven wrong.

"I... forgot about that," Kyoko said as she grabbed the piece of paper out of her jacket.

"My, my, I didn't know that Makoto's death would affect you this much."

"It's not. Just look at this so we can move on. There is still a lot to discuss," Kyoko said, her voice as even as ever, but her eyes portraying a mix of anger and sadness that was almost unnoticeable. A look at Byakuya confirmed that he also saw it.

Kyoko showed the paper which, after being handed to multiple people, arrived in Byakuya's hands.

The heir adjusted his glasses as he looked at both of the pieces of paper.

"Hmpf. It looks like you were correct. The handwriting is too different," Byakuya said, passing the piece of paper to Chihiro so Kyoko could get it back.

When it looked like Hina wanted to say something, Byakuya simply glared at her before she said anything. Hina looked away with a confused expression.

"What surprising," Kyoko responded, sarcasm clear in her voice.

Byakuya simply rolled his eyes in response.

"Well, let's get on to finding the real killer then."

"How are we gonna do that now? If the note was a fake..." Mondo trailed off.

"There must be something else!" Taka said.

"W-what about the footprint? There has to be something we can get from that..." Chihiro suggested.
