When Chihiro the next morning, he was sure that his earlier thoughts were proven wrong.
His body just felt so heavy...
Yeah, he was getting sicker. But it was just a cold. It would pass soon enough... right?
Unfortunately, he didn't have much time to think about it. He had to get to the dining hall... to the morning meeting.
He hadn't heard Monokuma's announcement, so he was probably running late.
Whoops...
He quickly changed out of his pyjamas and into something more suitable and practically speedwalked his way towards the dining hall.
Doing that with a groggy mind wasn't the best idea, but he couldn't change that now.
As soon as he entered the dining hall, he was that everybody- except Kyoko- was already there.
Taka greeted him the way he expected... which was good?
"You're one minute late, Chihiro. How do you explain this?" He asked, his red eyes focused on Chihiro from where he was sitting... next to Byakuya.
"S-Sorry. I'm not feeling so great today," Chihiro responded, a meek smile on his face.
Byakuya rolled his eyes in response. "Just sit down. The longer you stand there, the more time we waste," He commanded, his voice not loud, but still clear.
"R-right..." Chihiro sat down next to Hina who gave him a smile.
"So, um, now that we're all here. Has anybody seen Kyoko? I mean, even if we don't trust her... I haven't seen her in a few days!" Hina said, some concern etched onto her face.
Chihiro would be lying if he said he wasn't worried... He was quite sure he was one of the last people who had actually talked to Kyoko and now she was gone. But he knew she was alright. She was Kyoko after all!
"So, have I. She still isn't in her room," Byakuya responded, a slight frown appearing on her face.
"Ah, you still have her room key, right?" Sakura asked, a thoughtful expression on her face.
Byakuya nodded and, presumably, went to response when Monokuma suddenly appeared on to table.
"Ah, are you looking for Miss Kirigiri?" He asked, its voice casual, as if they weren't talking about someone who had been missing for... some time.
"W-wgah! What do you want now!?" Chihiro said, shrieking slightly by the bear's sudden appearance.
Monokuma's grin widened. "I'm right, right? You're wondering where Miss Kirigiri is, right?" He asked, tilting his head almost tauntingly.
Chihiro shock had- mostly- disappeared by now. "D-Do you know where she is...?" He asked, a hint of concern slipping into his voice.
If Monokuma knew where Kyoko was... Well, he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing...
"Hmm... Well, it's hard to say..." Monokuma answered, this time tilting his head as if he was thinking.
"So, you don't know where Kyoko is either?" Sakura asked the bear, a glare on her face.
Byakuya rolled his eyes in annoyance. "It's because he doesn't know. That's why he's here- to try and prod us for information," He explained, his voice a mix of slight anger and annoyance.
It seemed despite previously... working with the bear, Byakuya still didn't like it. Which was quite understandable. Monokuma- well, whoever was behind the bear- was the reason they were trapped in here.
