Two days. It had been two days since the motive had been revealed and nothing has happened. Yet. Chihiro would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. He knew he wasn't the only one.

Sure, it may seem that everybody is fine, acting like the motive never happened, but that just wasn't true. While, yes, there were moments like everything was fine, like when Hina and Hiro made brownies yesterday, there were also moments where things just felt wrong.

Like the fact that he only has seen glimpses of Byakuya since the motive reveal. Though, it didn't seem like the heir was avoiding him in particular. Byakuya seemed to be avoiding everybody, eating at separate times and almost never leaving the library.

Unfortunately, the heir wasn't the only one who had been acting weird since the motive. Taka was also just less present in general. He too had been seen much less by their classmates, though, unlike Byakuya, didn't seem to be actively avoiding people. It was more like the moral compass simply wanted to be alone. Or just didn't want to even have a chance of seeing Byakuya.

The rest was, luckily, for the most their normal selves, though there were still a few things that just felt o so wrong. Like how Hiro seemed to be lost in thought from time to time or how Sakura just felt much more tense than normal. Or how Kyoko just seemed to disappear during the day, nowhere to be found. Though, that seemed to already be happening even before the motive reveal.

So, Chihiro was worried about his classmates, but he had no idea how to help. He wants to help them, since they are his friends, but he just feels so useless. Truth be told, he wishes Makoto were still here. The luckster almost always had a way of keeping their spirits up, even when it looked almost impossible. But he wasn't here. Mondo had killed him.

Mondo...

Tears prickled at the corners of his eyes as he thought about the biker. He still remembers one of his last interactions with him, it was when he told the biker his secret like he meant to before he got distracted and ended up telling it to Byakuya.

That time, however, he didn't get distracted and told him. He remembered Mondo telling him that he was strong for telling him. He also remembered seeing something in his eyes that felt wrong. Chihiro somehow felt that it was connected to Makoto's death, not that he would tell anybody... who knows what Taka would do if he found out.

Speaking of the moral compass, Chihiro wanted to know how he was doing. While he knew that he probably wanted to be left alone, Chihiro knew what Taka was ding, wasn't healthy and just very unlike him, it was not like Byakuya. Who... had never been the biggest fan of their class in the first place. So, he was going to check up on the moral compass. After eating breakfast.

And that he did, he ate breakfast, said hello to Hina and Sakura and went to Taka's door. And stood there for a few seconds, contemplating if he should just leave the moral compass alone.

After a few seconds he rang the doorbell, fidgeting with the collar of his light green dress shirt-why couldn't the warehouse have more normal shirts? And he waited until Taka opened the door, which felt like minutes, even if it couldn't have been more than a few seconds at most. He totally wasn't nervous at all...

Then, Taka opened the door, glaring. However, as soon as he realized that it was Chihiro in front of him, his eyes softened and a small smile appeared on his face. It didn't fully reach his eyes.

"Hello, Chihiro."

"Hi, Taka. How... are you?" Chihiro asked, worry clear in his voice.

"I'm- I'm doing better. Is there a reason why you are here?" Taka asked, standing in the doorway.
