As Chihiro entered the gym together with Taka, he could see that they were the last ones there. Byakuya and Kyoko stood somewhere in the back, separated from the rest who all stood in the front. It looked like they were talking to each other about something, though Chihiro couldn't guess what.

The rest of the students looked nervous, all to varying degrees. Hiro and Hifumi almost seemed to be sweating and he could see Hina trying to cheer them up, though she herself looked nervous about the motive. So did Sakura.

Then, Monokuma appeared, standing on the podium on the stage.

"Alrighty, let's get this show on the road!" Monokuma said with way more excitement than necessary.

"You're about to give us your next motive presentation, aren't you?" Byakuya asked, not wanting to waste any time.

"Hmm?" Monokuma responded, tilting his head as if he didn't understand what Byakuya had just said.

Chihiro could almost hear the eyeroll from where he stood in the middle of the gym.

However, before the heir could respond, Kyoko cut in.

"You got us all together to present another motive, right?" Kyoko asked calmly.

"Puhuhu, not exactly! I'm also getting rid of a grudge!"

"I don't recall you having a grudge against us, only the opposite." Kyoko said.

"Well, it's only against one of you... the spy of course! After all they did some pretty nasty things to me..." Monokuma said, pausing for dramatic effect.

There was a pause and then, chaos ensued.

"Wha-! That can't be true, right?"

"What a twist!"

"..."

"I- I don't believe you! You have to be lying!"

"I... do not think he is, unfortunately."

"As if I've been saying anything different."

"I refuse to believe this!"

Chihiro had been silent this whole time, too shocked to say anything. Monokuma had to be lying, right?

"Ugh, you kids have no respect these days!" Monokuma began, waving his arms up and down. "Now... let me explain the motive!"

"I will give all of you a little hint to the identity of this spy and if you manage to kill them, you get away... scot-free! No punishment or nothing!"

"So... we get away, just like that?" Hiro asked, having calmed the slightest bit down.

"Hey! It's not that easy! If this traitor finds out you know their true identity... they can kill you scot-free! Isn't that just exiting?" Monokuma asked, somehow grinning more than normal.

"And what stops us from working together to find the spy's identity? That would render this whole motive useless," Kyoko asked calmly, no hint of anxiety or surprise in her voice.

"I was getting to that! Revealing the traitor's identity or your special little hint to others will be counted as breaking the rules and they will be punished accordingly! I just added the rule to your handbooks!"

Before anybody could say something or grab their handbook, Monokuma continued on.

"You'll also find your hint on there, so make sure nobody sees it or I will have no choice but to punish you! Now, have fun killing~!" Monokuma said, disappearing immediately after and leaving the students alone.
