Byakuya left the room with Hina. They had searched the room together and while they had found some evidence, their investigation wasn't over.

"So, uh, we're going to Makoto's room, right?"

"Yes. I just told you that mere minutes ago."

"Heh, sorry."

Byakuya responded with a roll of his eyes.

It was not like he wanted his attempted murderer with him, but as for now, they were the only two with alibi's for the night.

Eventually, they arrived at Makoto's room. The room was blank, with almost no personalisation.

"Tell me if you see something."

"Alright, chief," Hina said jokingly.

"Do not call me that."

"Right..."

As Hina went to the left side of the room, Byakuya went to the right.

He first walked towards the single table in the room; a small round table with a piece of paper on it.

"Interesting..." Byakuya said softly, using his uninjured arm to pick up the piece of paper.

Makoto, I have something that only you can help with. Meet me in the art room around 4am. Dont tell anybody of this.

-Kyoko

The handwriting was messy as if somebody wrote it hastily or just didn't have good handwriting.

Before Byakuya could take a closer look, his thoughts were interrupted.

"Byakuya, I found something!" Hina said as she walked towards him.

In her hands was something that looked like a candy wrapper.

"A candy wrapper?"

"Yeah! I think I remember seeing one of these in the art classroom just before we saw Makoto's body."

"In the art classroom you say... not the room with the art supplies?"

"Nope! I'm sure of it."

"Hmmm... then maybe the murder didn't take place in the art supply room..."

"Why'd you think that?"

"Because of this." Byakuya said as he handed her the note.

"What?! Kyoko wouldn't write this, right?"

"Hmpf. You are smarter than you look. Yes, I don't believe Kyoko wrote this. Somebody else must have. Though, I can't be sure..."

"Yeah... that does make more sense."

"Of course, it does. Now, let's see if there's anything more in here."

Byakuya and Hina looked around Makoto's room, checking every nook and cranny. Unfortunately, they didn't find anything else.

"So, what do we do now?"

"Get back to the art classroom. If the murder really took place there, there must be more evidence. Maybe we can also get some alibi's of the night while we're there."

"Alright."

The walk upstairs was quiet again, until Byakuya let out a small hiss of pain.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, it was just a flair of pain. Though, it does seem that my wound has started bleeding again."

"That's not good... right?"

"Of course not. It seems that we have to make a small detour to the nurse's office."

"Right..."

The pair luckily arrived quickly and Byakuya put on new bandages.

"You sure you don't need help or anything?"

"Of course not. I know how to bandage a wound properly."

"Heh, of course. I just didn't really think you would, since you probably have people who do it for you, you know."

"My father thought me." Byakuya said dismissively.

"Now, let's go. We already have wasted enough time."

"Yeah..."

The two of them arrived quickly at the art classroom, this time without any detours.

The first thing they noticed was the trail of blood going into the supply room. The trail just seemed to start out of nowhere, but as Byakuya took a closer look, he could see that that wasn't the truth. Near where the trail of blood started was a small water puddle.

"The murderer must have cleaned something up..."

"Yeah..."

After looking around the room some more, near the very back, was a bloody footprint. While Byakuya couldn't see the exact size or type of shoe it came from, he could see that it was on the bigger side and couldn't have been made by someone like Makoto. It must belong to the killer.

"Here it is! See, I told you!" Hina shouted from the other side of the room, holding up a candy wrapper, one identical to the one they found in Makoto's room.

"Hmm, it looks like you were correct. Is that all that you found?"

Hina deflated a bit at that. "Unfortunately, though I'm sure I will find something else!"

She didn't, unfortunately. It seemed that they had found all they could find in the art classroom.

"Well, let's move on to the last thing on our list. Alibi's."

"Sure! Who are we gonna ask first?"

"Why don't we start with Sakura and Mondo, they are in the supply room after all."

"Alright!"

Hina went into the supply room and Byakuya followed. When he entered, Hina was already in a conversation with Mondo. He went to Sakura.

"Hello, Byakuya."

"I assume you overhead Hina and Mondo, right? Then you'll know why I'm talking to you."

"I have. Though, I'm afraid I don't have an alibi for the night. I spent the whole night alone in my room. I wanted to spend the night with Hina, but, as you know, she declined. If I had known why, I would have never-"

Byakuya cut her off. "Well, the damage is done now. We can't go back into the past and change it. Goodbye."

Just as Sakura was done with talking to Sakura, so was Hina with Mondo.

"And what did he say?"

"He just said that he stayed in his room for most of the night. He did say he went to the library at one point, since he couldn't sleep, though he doesn't remember how late exactly."

"He can't even remember something as plain as that-" Byakuya cut himself off. "Well, it doesn't really matter. Let's ask the other if maybe they had seen something interesting..."

Just as Hina and Byakuya walked out of the room, the speakers turned on.

"While seeing all of you investigating is quite amusing, it's time for the class trial. Don't keep me waiting or I'll be beary sad!"

"Well, let's go then."

"Yeah! We'll find out who killed Makoto!"

With that, the two of them walked towards the elevator. The class trial was going to begin once again.
