Chihiro's sleep was restless. It was as if he weaved back and forth between sleep and wakefulness the whole time. Yet, as he was sleeping, he found himself wandering through a strange dream.

Within the dream, a voice echoed across the walls of his mind... the voice sounded familiar.

"I under... understand... I-I understand..." The familiar voice said.

There were a few moments of silence before the voice continued. "I...understand... I should...understand everything. My goal isn't to get out of here... I-it's...to stay here," It said and, in that moment, Chihiro recognised the voice as his own.

"H-hope... This is all...for hope. And that's why... I have to stay... I have...to stay here," Dream Chihiro said, and even while dreaming Chihiro could make out a determined expression on his- own?- face.

After those words, the Dream Chihiro disappeared and Chihiro woke up again. Not that he wanted to since he was clearly getting sicker.

"Ah--grh! M-my dream just now... What...? So strange... ...Huh?" He muttered, covered in sweat when he saw a figure in the corner of his eye.

The figure was near his desk drawers. He couldn't see who it was since there was something covering their face... or maybe it was because he was sick. Either way, he had no idea who was in his room.

It was then he noticed they had a knife in their hand.

"...! Gh--! Gwaaaaaaahh!" The sound was supposed to come out as a scream, but the end result sounded rather weak. Much like Chihiro himself. He couldn't even find the energy to get out of his bed.

Then, out of nowhere another figure appeared in his room. This one looked like... Kyoko. Before he knew it, the masked figure was gone.

"Nn...? Kyoko...?" He asked weekly, not knowing if what he was seeing was truly correct.

Kyoko- if it even was her- didn't answer, though she- they?- looked right at him.

"W-what the...? What did you...?"

This time, it looked like Kyoko was saying something, but Chihiro couldn't understand what. Maybe he was too sleepy. Maybe he was too sick. He didn't know.

"What d-did you...say?" Chihiro tried to ask, but before he could get a response his eyes closed again, eagerly welcoming the darkness.

Chihiro was woken up by Monokuma's familiar voice and announcement in the morning.

It took him longer to open his eyes than usual. When he did open them, he let out a sigh.

It seemed like his previous symptoms of a possible illness had disappeared in the night. All that was left was himself, drenched in sweat... Though, he doubted it was just of whatever bug he'd caught... That dream probably also had something to do with it.

Chihiro didn't remember exactly what happened in the dream... if it even was one. He was pretty sure he heard himself talking when he woke up. Then, there was a masked person standing next to his drawers with a knife...

And then Kyoko appeared. He wasn't sure how much of it was a dream. However, that knife did look familiar.

He was quite sure he had seen it before. And he knew where it was.

So, after putting on some clothes, he went to his desk drawer- Wasn't this where the masked person was?- and opened it.

Inside was nothing. No knife.
