Chihiro tried not to think about what Byakuya had said. He knew he wasn't the culprit!
But then who was?
That's what he had to figure out.
Chihiro then looked to his right and saw Taka walking away from the sprinklers.
Taka!
There was a chance that Taka knew something. So, he walked right over to where Taka was.
"A-ah. Hello, Taka!" He greeted, hoping that the smile on his face didn't seem too forced. He didn't want to worry his friend.
Luckily, Taka didn't seem to notice it and smiled back. "Ah, hello! It's eleven in the morning now!" He said, leaving Chihiro a bit confused.
"H-huh? Why did you say that?" The programmer asked, tilting his head slightly. He had no idea what Taka had meant with that.
"Oh, sorry. I was just thinking about when we first found the body..." Taka responded, glancing at the sprinklers.
Chihiro nodded in return. "R-right, that's a good idea..."
When did they found the body?
Chihiro remembered hearing Monokuma's announcement in the morning as usual, so it had to be a bit after that. He headed to the dining hall soon after and met up with Hina. They then headed to the gym where the rest was. That did take some time. And it was then that they discovered the body.
However, Chihiro didn't remember looking at a clock...
"Ah, I believe that must have been around nine..." Sakura piped up, her voice snapping Chihiro out of his thoughts.
"Now that you mention it, I think you're right! I think we can say for sure that the body was found at nine in the morning!" Taka said while smiling, seemingly happy at the new information.
"A-ah, thank you, Sakura!" Chihiro said, smiling at the martial artist who smiles back. It was good to know when they found the body.
The brunet then said a quick goodbye to Taka before leaving him and deciding to go into the shed. There he found a tarp which Chihiro was quite sure wasn't there before.
"I-I should probably look into that. It could be related to the case..." Chihiro mumbled to himself, already crouching down to take a closer look at the tarp.
The top of the tarp was completely wet and covered with grime and mud. However, the underside was the complete opposite. The underside of the tarp was both dry and clean.
That's weird...
Chihiro decided to keep that in mind as he stood up and dusted himself up. He then left the garden. He did have something he still wanted to ask Byakuya, but the other boy had seemed busy investigating and Chihiro didn't want to bother him.
Besides, he had another location he wanted to check out. Something about those fragments near the body had seemed... familiar. So, he made his way towards the gym where the disassembled Monokuma still lay.
So, he crouched down and carefully picked up some pieces of Monokuma to find what he was searching for.
"H-huh, it isn't here anymore!" Chihiro said to himself. The bomb that was there, was now gone!
Still, Chihiro was sure that those fragments near the body were some sort of bomb, just like the one in Monokuma!
With that thought in mind, he made his way back to the gym. There was still something he wanted to ask Byakuya, after all.
