Byakuya merely watched as Chihiro left the room, not doing anything else until he was sure the boy left. The brunet had no reason to know what he and Taka were going to talk about- not that it was anything truly important.

Then, when he was sure that the programmer had left, he turned to Taka.

The other boy gave him a slightly confused look. "So, what did you want to talk about, Byakuya?"

Byakuya didn't respond immediately. "Sit down," He said, not bothering to add a 'please'.

He watched as Taka did as he was told, the confused look still plastered on his face. Byakuya waited for a few more moments before deigning the other boy with an answer.

"Well, since we have this alliance going on now, I want to know you better," He answered, a slight smirk appearing on his face.

It was the truth, Byakuya did want to know Taka better. He wanted to make sure that this alliance was worth it. Was worth working with an Ishimaru. The lowest of low. The lowest of commoners.

Yes, Chihiro was a commoner too, but he wasn't an Ishimaru. And the programmer was smart. He had to know if Taka was worth working with- Byakuya was a Togami, he wasn't just going to work with an Ishimaru for nothing.

No, it had to be worth it. So, he had to get to know Taka better, even if he didn't particularly look forward to it... He had many other actually important things to do, but- unfortunately- this was also needed.

He just hoped that Taka was actually worth his time.

He doubted it...

"You- you want to know me better?" Taka echoed, the confused expression never leaving his face.

Byakuya supressed a sigh. "Yes, that's what I said. Or have you suddenly turned deaf?"

He made a wrong choice, hasn't he?

Taka shook his head. "I-no! I was merely surprised!" He explained, making Byakuya roll his eyes.

"Yes, yes. Just go on, tell me about yourself, Taka," Byakuya commanded, pushing up his glasses.

He just wanted to get this over with. And in the best-case scenario, he might just learn something actually usual from the commoner.

Byakuya doubted that though, but he knew he had to do this. For information, of course. He had no real intent of actually getting closer with the raven-haired boy. That would just be asinine and idiotic, which the blonde wasn't.

Taka seemed to be deep in thought and he took a few moments before answering, "Something about myself..." He muttered, "I'm not sure what to tell you... You already know about my family."

This time, Byakuya actually sighed. He had an idea that this wasn't going to be done any time soon.

"Well, what do you like to do in your spare time?" Byakuya asked, crossing his legs.

While he didn't like asking such a meaningless question, he had to ask the moral compass. And that one was simple enough that even a commoner could answer it. At least, that was what he hoped.

As if he would ever actually talk to commoners without a very good reason...

Luckily for him, it seemed like Taka did have the brain capacity to answer that question.

"Study, of course! I'm a student, aren't I? A student must be a studying professional!" He began loudly and Byakuya immediately regretted ever asking him that question. "And of course, my duties as the chairperson of the morals committee keep me quite busy, as well!"
