Authors Note: I don't know if you guys can tell but I love the dynamic of Vance and Finney being bestfriends/brothers so there might be a lot of that in some chapters 🤗. Feel free to leave requests and stuff I'm slowly running out of ideas.

Gwen is 14 in this, Finn and his friends are 16.

It was a rainy, and very cold, spring morning. The sun, which was high in the sky, was barely noticeable at all with the thick cloud that towered over North Denver.

Finn and his younger sister, Gwen Blake, sat across from each other at their dining table. They had been playing checkers for quite some time now, trying to make the most out of the storm that boomed and crashed outside. A radio has been placed on the counter beside the table, alerting the two teenagers of the storm's progression.

Finn had just taken over one of Gwen's red checkers when a loud knock startled the both of them. Luckily their father wasn't home, probably having gotten stuck at a bar and was now waiting out the storm like the rest of them, so they wouldn't be in trouble for any loud noises. Gwen looked at Finn, an eyebrow cocked up in confusion. Her older brother shook his head. He didn't know who could or would be at the door either. Finn stood up and made his way to the door just as another knock was heard. This time harder than the last.

"Finney Blake open this door up right now before I kick it in."

Finn smiled. It was Vance Hopper. The door was thrown open quickly after the statement was made. Now that Finn could see who was on the other side, he found that the passive-aggressive blonde boy was not alone. Robin and Bruce stood awkwardly next to him, both waving at Finn with small smiles.

"Hurry up and come in. Try not to get anything wet, my dad will kill me if you do."

After the three teenagers were inside of the warm house, they quickly settled in. Vance shook his head, just as a wet dog would do, resulting in those around him getting splashed with rainwater.

"Fucking hell Vance. Warn us next time asshole."
...
"Yeah yeah. Whatever."

Gwen had placed herself on the floor, right in the center of the group. No one seemed to mind all that much seeing as they each adored the female and thought of her as a younger sister. Well, Finn didn't have to think of her as one, she already was his sister after all.

"So why exactly were you guys outside?"

Finn had asked, now facing the three boys on the couch. Vance looked slightly annoyed, recalling the events that had happened prior to their appearance. Bruce looked ashamed. Robin.., well Robin looked like he was about one breath away from having a laugh attack.

"This dumbass wanted to play baseball and dragged me and Robin with him. I told him it was going to storm and he, and I quote, said 'We wont even be here that long'." Vance explained, an annoyed expression on his face when the last line was said. Bruce's head dropped in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry-"
...
"We were there for 4 fucking hours Bruce!"

Now Robin couldn't hold his laughter in anymore after Vance's arms wildly threw themselves in the air as he expressed his annoyance. Finn merely smiled, Gwen giggled quietly.

A couple hours later, the storm seemed to have dialed down just a bit. It was still raining heavily but there wasn't as much noise as before. Gwen had decided to have a nap while she could, leaving the four boys in the living room.

"Y'all wanna shower or anything? I basically have all of you guys' clothes here, seeing as y'all are always over." Finn said, laughing a bit at his last comment. Vance immediately nodded. He needed warmth after sitting in his rain-soaked attire for almost 5 hours. Finn nodded his head, signaling him to go. After Vance, Robin went. Bruce was last, seeing as it was his fault that they were in this predicament after all. He may or may not have gotten lukewarm water for his shower.

After all the boys, besides Finn, had their showers, they thought about what they should do to pass time. Finn knew that his dad wouldn't be home before the storm passed, so he wasn't really worried about how bad his friends ideas could get. He was always happy to have them over. Bruce had a very thoughtful expression on his face before his finger pointed upwards in a "aha!" way.

"Let's play truth or dare."
